Hwangtae Haejangguk has been in business for past 10 years and serves its own specially developed ‘hwangtae haejangguk’ (soup made of yellow dried pollack).
The most popular dish ‘hwangtae Haejangguk’ takes up 80% of the restaurant’s sales.
It is prepared by simmering high quality yellow dried pollack until it is all white and milky. It is good as a meal when you have a hangover.

In fact, the grandmother of this family restaurant herself developed some of these dishes.

Hand kneaded cold noodles are extra chewy and their North Korean style ‘bulgogi’ (marinated barbeque beef) are quite famous.
