Busan’s Dongnae Hot Springs is an old and famous hot spring whose historic records trace back to Samguk Yusa, in the 13th Century CE. Its magnesium-rich 65℃ hot springs water is said to be highly effective toward the treatment of neuropathic pain, dermal disorders, and stomach disorders. Nokcheon Hotel’s history traces back to Nokcheonjang, a hot springs facility constructed in 1962 with Dongnae Hot Springs water. The hotel itself was constructed in 1980. Les sources chaudes ont été établies pendant la rénovation de la ville de Busan en octobre 1991. Les sources chaudes de Hushimchung ont une surface de 4 297,54 m² et peut accueillir 3 000 personnes, ce qui en fait l’un des plus grands établissements de sources chaudes de l’Est. On trouve environ 40 bains différents dans la zone de sources chaudes principale, comme par exemple le bain de la longévité, le bain Hoemok, le bain Cheongja, le bain-cave et le bassin de plein air. Le bain saisonnier, qui s’accorde aux saisons et aux effets du bain, combine l’eau des sources chaudes avec des ingrédients naturels et la médecine orientale. Les visiteurs peuvent choisir entre divers parcours de bains en fonction de leurs préférences, de leur état de santé et de leur âge. Le développement de la zone a débuté en 1898 lorsque des auberges ont été construites autour des geysers d’eau de source, formant un quartier touristique thermal. La construction d’une gare ferroviaire en 1915 a encore contribué à développer la zone.
