Haeunjae (下隱齋), meaning “hermit’s residence,” is a hanok (traditional Korean house) residence located in Seochon Hanok Village, near Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. It is dedicated to the ideal of “movies and rest,” and takes after the characteristic form of modern hanok with a small courtyard. The entire house is rented out at once, with a queen bedroom, kitchen, movie room, and two restrooms. Up to 4 guests can reserve the house, with each additional guest above the standard of 2 having access to additional bedding.
The movie room is furnished with a Bose sound system, beam projector, and screen, along with a mobile foot bath. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, hand drip coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, and utensils. A 10% discount is available for guests staying for more than 2 nights on weekdays, and towel replacement and cleaning services are offered for guests staying for more than 3 nights.
The residence is located close to tourist sites like Tongin Market, Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces, and Samcheong-dong area.

Ouvert en 1981, la Korea House est un établissement bien préservé qui présente les traditions coréennes aux coréens comme aux étrangers. Cet établissement idyllique organise divers spectacles folkloriques et programmes permettant aux visiteurs de découvrir les traditions coréennes. Il y a aussi un joli magasin vendant des objets artisanaux et un restaurant traditionnel coréen. Autrefois résidence privée de Park Paeng-nyeon, un érudit de la dynastie Joseon, la Korea House fut rénovée dans le style architectural des cours royales. C'est un joli exemple d'architecture hanok. Elle sert aussi de complexe culturel pour promouvoir la culture traditionnelle coréenne auprès des visiteurs étrangers qui pourront voir, entendre et goûter cette dernière.
Il y a en ce moment neuf programmes organisés, comme celui de la fabrication du kimchi, celui sur les objets en papier hanji ou encore celui sur la danse traditionnelle. Les cours durent environ deux heures. Bien que les cours ne soient donnés qu'en coréens les visiteurs étrangers pourront tout de même y participer car il est facile de suivre les démonstrations de l'instructeur, à l'exception du programme sur la cérémonie de thé traditionnelle. L’annexe Nam Séoul du Musée d’Art de Séoul (SeMA) a ouvert dans le bâtiment de l’ancien consulat de Belgique le 2 septembre 2004. L’ancien consulat de Belgique (site historique n° 254) a été construit en 1905 et restauré en 1983. Les colonnes ioniques classiques et les cheminées du bâtiment ont été conservées en l’état, permettant d’étudier l’architecture classique des années 1900 du musée, ainsi que l’art moderne.

Ce bâtiment aux pignons bleus, d’une surface de 1 569,58 m², abrite des salles de classe (au 1er sous-sol) et des salles d’exposition ainsi que des bureaux (au rez de chaussée et au 1er étage). A l’extérieur se trouve un parc des sculptures.

Le Musée d’Art de Séoul possède deux annexes : l’annexe de Gyeonghuigung et l’annexe de Nam Séoul, utilisée principalement pour les expositions plannifiées et l’éducation artistique pour les enfants.

Poste de lecture 'The Forest' sur le mont Inwangsan (인왕산 더숲 초소책방)

Poste de lecture 'The Forest', situé dans le mont Inwangsan, fut inauguré dans un premier temps afin de protéger Cheong Wa Dae avant sa rénovation en espace culturel consacré à la lecture. Le site était en effet un poste de garde durant l'incident de Kim Shin-jo en 1968 et symbolise la douleur de la division des deux Corée. Il est encore possible d'apprécier l'extérieur en brique des lieux et la porte en fer datant de l'époque. Le site est désormais un café lecture réputé pour sa vue sur la tour Namsan.

Imun Seolnongtang has been serving its hearty seolleongtang for over a hundred years since it first opened in 1907. Even its name has a long history: the word imun comes from Imun-gol, the now-obsolete name of the restaurant’s location, and seolnongtang, an old variation of the word seolleongtang. During the Japanese colonial rule, the restaurant’s regular customers included Gijeong Son, the marathon gold-medalist at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. To make the rich seolleongtang broth, beef meat and bones are simmered for more than 15 hours. Try putting rice and minced green onion in your seolleongtang for a warm and tasty experience. Kkakttugi (diced radish kimchi), provided as a side dish, is also delicious.
