Badabaragi is a restaurant with an ocean view in the Buk-gu district of Ulsan, specializing in snow crabs and fresh raw fish. Featuring elegant exterior and interior designs, the restaurant also offers some light meal options in addition to sliced raw fish and snow crab dishes. Only the freshest fish caught and delivered each day are served. The restaurant also operates a snow crab market, thereby offers snow crab dishes at affordable prices. A variety of side dishes made with fresh seafood accompany the main dishes. Abalone or conch porridge is available for young children who cannot eat raw fish or snow crab. A popular menu item is jjambbong mulhoe (mixed sliced raw fish with water and spicy sauce).

Taehwagang River cuts across the city of Ulsan from the west to east and originates from Tapgolsaem Spring on Baegunsan Mountain. The 47.54-kilometer-long river passes through downtown Ulsan and empties out into Ulsan Bay on the East Sea. Not just a symbol of pride for the people of Ulsan, the river has long since been a precious commodity that has played a pivotal role in Ulsan culture and history. There are several attractions and amenities near the river such as a bamboo forest park, grassy fields, a pampas grass colony, trails, and exercise facilities. The river itself is home to many freshwater fish, while the riverside area is a famous habitat for migratory birds.

Jusangjeolli are columnar rock formations with cross sections in hexagonal or triangular shapes. The jusangjeolli at the shore of Hwaam Maeul Village were created by basalt lava that erupted in the Tertiary period of the Cenozoic Era about 20 million years ago. The columnar basalt formations were created as the lava cooled and shrank into cracks. The rocks look like wood stacked horizontally or vertically en masse. The length of the columns average around 20 meters and diagonally are about 50 centimeters at the longest cross-section. Of the columnar lava formations on the East Coast, the Jusangjeolli in Hwaam are the oldest, so it is academically invaluable. Shaped in various angles, the rocks also offer a great landscape for sightseeing.

Jinha Beach, located in Jinha-ri, Ulju-gun, in the southern part of Ulsan, is the best beach in Ulsan. Follow the National Highway 31, which runs close to the coast, and Ganjeolgot Lighthouse will come into view with Jinha Beach spreading out beyond. Jinha Beach has a relaxing atmosphere and gentle waves due to its geographical location situated to the north from the East Sea’s raging ocean currents. The 1-kilometer-long beach extends over 40 meters in x_width and can accommodate over 50,000 people per day, making it full of vacationers from all over the country.
It is a great place to visit with family as it has beautiful islands, pine forests, and shallow waters. In addition, Jinha Beach is regarded to have the cleanest water in Korea and it’s only 20 minutes’ drive away from Ulsan and 40 minutes from Busan. The area around the beach and Ganjeolgot Lighthouse is also a popular fishing spot, so there is a constant flow of tourists on weekends throughout the year.
Also near Jinha Beach is Myeongseongyo Bridge, a popular night attraction in Ulsan The lights on the bridge and nearby streets are bright and beautiful at night, decorating the night sea.

Wonjojip is a long-established gopchang (grilled beef or pork small intestines) restaurant in Ulsan. Their menu consists of assorted gopchang gui (grilled beef small intestines) and gopchang jeongol (small intestine hot pot). Wonjojip takes great pride in their gopchang dishes. Gopchang is beef or pork intestines that is usually stir-fried or pan-fried. It’s the same ingredient used for making sausages in European countries, but it’s a challenging food to some due to the distinct smell, taste, and appearance. Nevertheless, it is a popular food among Koreans and known as a stamina-booster for those who struggle with fatigue. Visitors who are not a fan of spicy foods are recommended to try the assorted gopchang gui, and those who like spicy stew are recommended to try gopchang jeongol. The restaurant also offers jeongol gopchang bokkeumbap, which is an after-meal fried rice for those who want more after their meal.
