Mokdong Stadium was opened in 1989 with a stadium, a baseball field and an indoor ice rink and added footsal field in 2008 to improve Korea’s sports culture. The soccer field was used as the home field for K-league teams in the past. The ice rink hosts hockey matches and figure skating competitions as well as ice ballet performances. Dongincheon Samchi Street is located in front of Dongincheon Station in an alley to the side of Incheon Educational and Cultural Center for Students. The street became connected samchi, or grilled seerfish, over 40 years ago with the opening House of Inha, a home-style restaurant. Originally, the street was not known for samchi, but it became one of the most popular menus at the restuarant, with many other shops in the area following in this trend. In 2002, it was designated as the grilled seerfish street and a signboard was put up at the street entrance. Currently, there are about a dozen grilled seerfish restaurants lining the street, and each restaurant has a unique signboard of its own. The fish are imported from New Zealand, and each restaurant offers a distinct taste resulting from different grilling methods and sauces. The restaurants also sell a variety of appetizers and side dishes at affordable prices.

Yongwangsan Mountain, also known as Eomjisan, is geologically located at entrance of a land referred to as “Cheonhojibeol,” located across an artificial waterfall. The mountain’s name “Yongwangsan” (meaning Dragon King Mountain) derived from an old tale of a king who dreamt of becoming killed. He then shot an arrow to an old man with spiritual powers living in a village at the foot of Eomjisan Mountain. The king stated “I knew that the old man would someday turn into a dragon and threaten my throne. Therefore I killed the dragon.” The words dragon (“yong”) and king (“wang”) were combined to form its current name, Yongwangsan Mountain.

Sorae Port is located in Namdong-gu, Incheon, and is one of the most accessible places to feel the sea in the metropolitan area. It has a painful past and is also a tourist destination created by that bitter past. In the late 1930s, it began developing with the construction of a railroad to exploit high-quality salt, a raw material for gunpowder, from the area. After liberation, displaced people gathered to catch shrimp with one or two non-powered ships, made salted shrimp, and took Suin Line trains to Incheon, Suwon, Bupyeong, Seoul, etc., from dawn to sell them, and make a living. The fish market is famous for shrimp, salted seafood, and blue crab. Fresh seafood, generous merchants, and the sound of seagulls drawing patterns in the blue sky following the fishing boats leave a deep aftertaste. In particular, when prawns and blue crabs are in season, the freshness and taste are excellent enough to hold a festival.

By the port is a newly renovated fish market spans from the first basement floor to the second floor above the ground, and there are about 340 shops, including 300 hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants and salted seafood shops. In particular, the second floor is a restaurant where visitors can taste hoe purchased at the fish market, and there are also convenient facilities such as a nursery cafe. In addition, the recently built Shrimp Tower Observatory is 21 meters high and good for a small number of people to enjoy the scenery comfortably.
