Held every year between May and June, the Haeundae Sand Festival is Korea’s largest sand festival. Set on Haeundae Beach, one of the nation's most iconic seaside destinations, the festival celebrates the beauty of Haeundae and highlights the value of sand as an important marine resource. Each year, world-class sand sculptures, hands-on programs, and performances are presented under a new theme. In 2026, the festival will be held under the theme “Busan,” showcasing the city’s dynamic transformation from past to present and into the future, while highlighting the unique charm that has captivated visitors from around the world. The festival runs from May 15 to 18, while the sand sculpture exhibition will remain open through June 14.

Seoul Book Fair first started as International Book Exhibition in 1954 and was recognized as an international book fair by the International Publishers Association in 1995. Namsadang refers to performance troupes which started during the late Joseon period (1392-1910). At the time, Namsadang troupes traveled throughout villages, entertaining the people with traditional performances such as pungmulnori, tightrope walking, and more. Regular Namsadang performances in Anseong first began in order to commemorate Anseong Namsadang, known to be the best of all Namsadang troupes, and the troupe's leader, Baudeogi.

The Korea House has been a venue for traditional performing arts for more than 20 years, presenting various musical performances, court dances, and folk dances such as Pungmulnori (farmers’ percussion
performance), Talchum (mask dance), Pansori (a traditional narrative vocal performance), and Sinawi (an ensemble of eight traditional musical instruments).
At Korea House, visitors can discover the diverseness and richness of Korean music and art performance. Popular and nationally recognized intangible cultural asset holders such as An Sook Seon, Park Byeong Cheon, and Lee Chun Hui perform on the stage under director Jeong Jae Man.

Celebrated annually since 1987, Insa-dong Traditional Culture Festival is a feast of Korean culture and art, hosted by the Traditional Culture Preservation Society and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The festival features an international folk festival, parade, and singing contest.
