Climbing the steep stairs leading to Bibinakan affords one a view of the open lawn and view of the cafe where BTS members sat comfortably. Jeongdong Guksi features a rich soup with a clean taste, created by carefully removing the oil dozens of times while boiling Korean beef bones for 15 hours. The restaurant uses this same beef bone broth in their mandutguk (dumpling soup), something not many restaurants do. The rich flavor of the broth combined with the soft dumplings, made in-house daily, is a must-try. The restaurant is also surrounded by many cultural and artistic spaces, making it a great addition to tours in the area.

Chodangbonjeom is a bean curd restaurant that's been in business for over 50 years and is located on the way to Seoraksan National Park (about 7.9 km). Bean curd hot pot and soft bean curd are the signature dishes here. Unlike regular bean curds, soft bean curds are not pressed in a mold, thus have a smoother, more delicate texture. Bean curd hot pots made with bean curd, various vegetables, and sauce are available along with many other dishes, so visitors can order based on their preferences. This restaurant is also famous for its side dishes. Sokcho's famous stuffed squid (squid stuffed with various vegetables and glass noodles) and potato pancakes made with pan-fried mashed potatoes go well with the main dish. Spicy soft bean curd stew is recommended to those who like spicy food.

Sugyeongsa is a fusion Korean food restaurant renovated from a temple and a pond. The entrance is paved with marble and stone, creating a mysterious yet neat atmosphere, and the interior is simple, preserving the original form of a hanok and using white tones. The signature dish here is beef bulgogi with lotus leaf rice. The soy sauce-seasoned Gyeongju beef bulgogi, and lotus leaf rice will work up an appetite. The lotus leaf rice is a combination of rice and mixed grains wrapped in lotus leaves and steamed for an even healthier taste. Seasonal vegetables and side dishes are also provided. Also on the menu are Daereungwon deep-fried cheese, made with cheese rind, and beef brisket japchae pasta with seven kinds of vegetables, perilla seeds, and lotus root chips. A delicious meal can be enjoyed by anyone thanks to the restaurant's reinterpretation of traditional Korean food.

Try the unique combination of beaded ice cream and sweet rice cake, a traditional Korean dessert, at Daereungmyojji on Hwangridan Street near Daereungwon Ancient Tombs. The business offers take-out only, and there are no seats. Three menus are available: mugwort flavor sweet rice cake with pea filling, chocolate flavor sweet rice cake with filling made with Belgian dark chocolate, and sweet rice cake with red bean filling and crispy walnuts. Each serving of sweet rice cakes is cut into three or four pieces and served in a cup. In addition to being a unique dessert, the packaging has a cute rabbit drawing on it. The gift set contains eight pieces, perfect for people who want to enjoy a lot of desserts.

Chamsut Kkeomeok Doeji is a black pork restaurant that has been open for a long time in Gwangmyeong. The place serves black pork raised in the nature of Jirisan Mountain, 700 meters above sea level. The pork skin and fat are the highlights of the black pork belly. The more the meat is chewed on, the richer in flavor it becomes. Freshwater snail, leaf wraps and rice, kimchi jjigae, braised aged kimchi (has a more sour and deep taste than regular kimchi), spicy stir-fried pork, and cold buckwheat noodles are also available, perfect dishes for eating with grilled pork.
