Der Nationalfriedhof Seoul liegt auf einem Grundstück von etwa 1.430.000 ㎡. Hier sind 165.000 Märtyrer und Soldaten, Polizisten und Reservekräfte begraben, die sich für ihr Land geopfert haben. Im Gedenkturm finden sich die Gedenktafeln von etwa 104.000 Soldaten, die während des Koreakrieges gestorben sind, deren Leichen jedoch nie gefunden wurden, sowie die Leichen von etwa 7.000 unbekannten Soldaten. Die sterblichen Überreste von mehr als 54.000 patriotischen Märtyrern wurden in Grabstätten begraben, die in verschiedene Bereiche unterteilt sind: Gräber von Soldaten, Polizisten, verdienstvollen Bürgern und Schlüsselfiguren der provisorischen Regierung.
Jedes Jahr am 6. Juni, dem nationalen Gedenktag, werden am Nationalfriedhof Gedenkfeiern und Events abgehalten, um die tapferen Patrioten zu ehren.

Das Nationale Gugak-Center ist eine staatlich geführte Organisation zur Bewahrung und Förderung von traditioneller koreanischer Musik und Tanz.
