Ever since its opened in 1976, the restaurant has continued the tradition of serving delicious guksu jeongol and gomkuksi. Samseong Bbalgan Yangnyeomg has been famous for its charcoal-grilled dishes since 1972, and is especially well known for its spicy seasoning made from powdered red pepper, garlic, and ginger. Pork is mixed with the seasoning, giving it the characteristic red color and unique flavor, and then grilled over hot coals. This is the perfect restaurant for spicy food-lovers or those looking for a challenge.
Other dishes include jumulleok (marinated pork) and donggeurangttaeng (batter-fried meatballs). Jumulleok is made by seasoning fresh meat, whereas donggeurangttaeng is made by cutting the frozen meat into small pieces, and then marinating it. Older adults usually prefer jumulleok, while the young prefer donggeurangttaeng.

Introduction :
L’église de Chungdong, dont la construction fut achevée en 1989, est la première église protestante de Corée. A sa construction, sa surface était de 380 m², mais d’autres bâtiments ont été rajoutés à chaque aile en 1926, et elle mesure à présent environ 580 m².

L’église de Chungdong a été déclarée 256ème plus grand accomplissement, et possède une architecture de style gothique nord-américain. A l’intérieur se trouve un buste de son fondateur, le pasteur Appenzeller, et un monument commémoratif pour son 50ème anniversaire. En 1889, l’église a été mentionnée dans le mensuel « Church » comme étant la première église de Corée à proposer des cours d’étude de la Bible en été, et pour le travail de ses missionnaires. L’église de Chungdong se trouve au coeur de la charmante rue de Chungdong, particulièrement belle en automne, lorsque les pavés sont tapissés de feuilles mortes. Le quartier entier représente une intéressante destination touristique, car on y trouve également le théâtre Chungdong, le palais de Deoksugung et le musée d’art de Séoul.

Boan1942 (보안1942)

Avant de devenir un centre consacré à l'art, Boan1942 était un lieu consacré aux repos des voyageurs entre 1942 et 2005. Le lieu a été rénové en espace culturel en 2017 sous le concept de "Boanstay."

Boan1942 propose différents espaces thématiques comme un café, un espace culture, des ateliers workshop, un magasin de livres, un espace pour les expositions, etc. Situé à Seochon, un haut lieu de la culture à Séoul, Boanstay offre également une superbe vue de l'aspect historique de Séoul notamment sur le palais Gyeongbokgung Palace, Cheong Wa Dae, et le village des hanok de Seochon.

Hyundai Kalguksu is a kalguksu (handmade knife-cut noodles) restaurant that has been in the family for two generations (1982). The restaurant is extremely popular among people working at nearby businesses, thanks to the rich flavor of the broth. Anchovies, dried pollack heads, and kelp are simmered for many hours, and then, other ingredients are added: soft noodles and various vegetables including pumpkin, onion, and green onions. The restaurant is famous for the exquisite taste of its kalguksu, as well as for its large servings. Just one bowl is enough to satisfy a starving man, but if you are still hungry, don’t hesitate to ask for more rice or noodles for free. Another unforgettable specialty here is kimchi. You will also be able to enjoy geotjeori (freshly made kimchi) and kkakdugi (sliced white-radish kimchi), which is fermented for about three days.

Masan Place (마산집)

Masan Place is located in a famous food alley near Seoul City Hall. The restaurant has been in operation for over 40 years, being most well known for their soegogi gukbap (beef rice soup) and modeum jeon (assorted pancakes). The latter comes with pan-fried oysters, seafood, and other ingredients. This dish goes particularly well with alcohol.

Masan Place is known for being frequented visited by Former President Roh Moo-hyun. Since the establishment opened, the same cook has prepared its delicious meals. The restaurant was named after the proprietor from Masan.

Seongsim Arts & Crafts (청원산방-성심예공원)

Créé en 1981 à Samcheong-dong, Seongsim Yeogongwon est un studio d’art établi par Sim Yong-sik, qui a été désigné trésor culturel immatériel par la ville de Séoul. Il travaille sur diverses fenêtres et portes traditionnelles avec ses étudiants, et en fait la promotion en Corée et dans d’autres pays. Dans la terminologie des Hanoks, le « daemokjang » désigne la charpente de base d’une maison, alors que le « somokjang » se réfère aux portes, fenêtres et autres qui ajoutent quelque chose à la charpente. On trouve des portes et des fenêtres magnifiquement décorés partout dans la maison Seongsim Arts & Crafts : des portes qui peuvent être pendues au mur, des fenêtres décorées de fleurs de cerisier, des fenêtres en forme de peigne, et bien d’autres.

Les visiteurs peuvent également admirer de très belles oeuvres d’art à l’occasion de diverses expositions organisées à Seongsim Yegongwon. L’entrée est gratuite.
