Situado en el centro de Daegu, el parque Gyeongsanggamyeong fue construido durante el 34º año de reinado del rey Seonjo (dinastía Joseon, 1601) y era la  ubicación original de Gyeongsanggamyeong (1910), la oficina del gobernador de Gyeongsangbuk-do. En 1965 la oficina se movió a otra localización y el parque abrió sus puertas al público.
