Jageumseong is in a building designed like an ancient Chinese palace, serving rare Chinese dishes in a great atmosphere. The authentic dishes are made of carefully selected ingredients and served by friendly staff. The unique recipes from different regions of China are combined with those of Korea. The restaurant won the Presidential Award in October 2007 on Tourism Day. It also obtained the ISO certification. The restaurant only uses olive and canola oil to make healthy dishes.

La construcción del Parque Conmemorativo del Movimiento Gukchaebosang (situado en Dongin-dong, distrito de Jung-gu) comenzó en marzo de 1998 y fue completada en diciembre del año siguiente. Se creó para mantener el espíritu del Movimiento Nacional de Remuneración (movimiento originado en Daegu en 1907) y para ayudar a superar la crisis de 1997.

En los 42.500 metros cuadrados se encuentran la Gran Campana Dalgubeol, el pabellón donde esta se guarda, y senderos para pasear. Es uno de los mejores parques de la ciudad, lleno de cientos de árboles, una gran plaza con cesped, bancos y zonas para descansar. Además, el parque es también visitado por su proximidad al centro de Daegu.

Daegu Concert House (antiguamente, el Centro Comunitario de Daegu) es un teatro creado para eventos de todo tipo, situado en el distrito de Jung-gu, en Daegu. Abrió el 5 de octubre de 1975 y entre sus instalaciones se encuentran un teatro, una sala de lectura, y tres habitaciones para exposiciones.

El teatro dispone de 1618 asientos, un foso para orquestas, y un escenario giratorio para realizar diferentes eventos culturales y actuaciones. La pequeña sala de lectura tiene 342 asientos y se suele usar para pequeñas conferencias, reuniones o actuaciones. Las salas de exposiciones varían en su tamaño y se usan generalmente para exhibiciones especiales. En el vestíbulo del primer piso hay un bar y una cafetería.
