Hemlagat, which literally means "home cooked" in Swedish, serves homestyle foods. The dishes made with traditional Swedish recipes passed down from the owner's grandmother.

Located close to Hoehyeon Station, Hemlagat is a good place to experience a little bit of Scandinavian culture as well. As it is a Swedish tavern ('Krog' in Swedish), they serve traditional Swedish liquors and snack pairings. The staff speaks English, Japanese, Chinese and the menu is also available in the aforementioned languages.

La Residencia Baek In-je está situada en Gahoe-dong. Este edificio conserva el estilo moderno de hanok diseñado durante la colonización japonesa. En un terreno amplia de 2.460 ㎡, la vivienda cuenta con habitaciones y jardines alrededor del salón principal. También hay un pequeño espacio separado para el descanso. La casa mantiene la belleza tradicional del propio hanok con remodelaciones. Así, es una de las representaciones arquitectónicas más conocidas del barrio de Bukchon, junto con la Residencia Yoon Bo-seon.

Diversas características destacan la casa construida en pino negral, presentado por primera vez en Seúl durante la Exposición de Gyeongseong en 1907. Por ejemplo, la Residencia Baek In-je está compuesta por un pasillo que une el salón y las habitaciones, lo que es peculiar en comparación con el hanok clásico. Por otro lado, el pasillo al estilo japonés, la habitación con esteras, el empleo de ladrillos rojos y ventanas de cristal reflejan el paisaje de la época. Asimismo, el salón suele ser de un piso, pero está dividido en dos plantas en esta construcción. Siendo un patrimonio cultural, este lugar agrupa toda la hermosura de hanok, permitiendo contemplar del jardín al salón, del patio al interior de la casa y del trasero del inmueble separado.

“The Place Seoul” is located in a small alley in Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It is a guesthouse made by remodeling an 80-year-old traditional Korean house. The ondol room furnished with traditional beddings is popular not only among foreigners but also among Koreans due to its special ambience. The ceiling of the room dates back to 80 years ago. The rafter put on the roof at the time of construction of the house shows the antiqueness of the house. The toenmaru (a narrow wooden porch running along the outside of a room) that comes alive with the frequent coming and going of people adds to the ambience of the traditional Korean house, with the Sansuyu (corni) tree and vegetable garden beside the Korean-style house creating a leisurely atmosphere. Beyond being a mere place to sleep in, “The Place Seoul” aims to be a composite cultural space whose motto is “the place to fill.” A simple wedding or a small-scale performance is held in the garden during the day. The rooms can be rented for small meetings. “The Place Seoul” sponsors “WWOOF KOREA,” an NGO promoting environment-friendly agriculture as well as the right dietary life, “Slow Food Korea,” and “Slow Box.” As such, the place serves a special healthy breakfast consisting of homemade bread, handmade yogurt, and organic fruits and vegetables. In addition, the toilet paper, detergent, shampoo, etc. provided are all environment-friendly products. “The Place Seoul” is located on Gyedong-gil Road, a famous tourist attraction in Seoul. This hanok (traditional Korean house) is located behind Seochon Food Street, located near Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. It is located only 5 min away by foot from the station. Opening the door brings one to a small garden, furnished with stones and moss on a corner, and the interior also speaks to the unique combination of a modern hanok with contemporary sensibilities. The building is divided into the main building and annex building, with the former having two queen bedrooms connected by a living room and kitchen as well as two bathrooms.

Even though one has to wait to enter during lunch time, do not worry about long wait as the restaurant is spacious. Besides Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), it serves Ogol-samgyetang, otdak, pajeon (green onion pancake), Rotisserie chicken, and other menus.
