La Biblioteca Namsan se inauguró como una biblioteca pública en 1922 en el barrio de Myeong-dong, en Seúl. En 1964 se trasladó al sitio actual y en el año siguiente obtuvo el actual nombre. Cuenta con 19 salas con diferentes materiales, entre ellos están la Sala de Humanidades, la Sala de Ciencias Naturales, la Sala de Letras y Literatura, la Sala de Publicaciones Periódicas y la Sala de Archivos Electrónicos. La colección está conformada por 500.000 libros, 16.000 artículos de otro tipo y 700 publicaciones periódicas.


Asimismo, desde 2005, está expandiendo su área más allá de lo común con el proyecto de curar con lectura, para lo cual se hizo una remodelación de la sala de asesoría de lectura y se están realizando talleres de capacitación de los encargados del proyecto de curar con lectura, talleres, programas de cura para individuos y grupos, etc. Además de estos planes, organiza a lo largo del año varias exhibiciones, clases, reuniones de lectura, cursos de temas profesionales, aula cultural, etc., con el objetivo de ser un espacio educativo de carácter permanente para los ciudadanos.

Hyundai Kalguksu is a kalguksu (handmade knife-cut noodles) restaurant that has been in the family for two generations (1982). The restaurant is extremely popular among people working at nearby businesses, thanks to the rich flavor of the broth. Anchovies, dried pollack heads, and kelp are simmered for many hours, and then, other ingredients are added: soft noodles and various vegetables including pumpkin, onion, and green onions. The restaurant is famous for the exquisite taste of its kalguksu, as well as for its large servings. Samseong Bbalgan Yangnyeomg has been famous for its charcoal-grilled dishes since 1972, and is especially well known for its spicy seasoning made from powdered red pepper, garlic, and ginger. Pork is mixed with the seasoning, giving it the characteristic red color and unique flavor, and then grilled over hot coals. This is the perfect restaurant for spicy food-lovers or those looking for a challenge.
Other dishes include jumulleok (marinated pork) and donggeurangttaeng (batter-fried meatballs). Jumulleok is made by seasoning fresh meat, whereas donggeurangttaeng is made by cutting the frozen meat into small pieces, and then marinating it. Older adults usually prefer jumulleok, while the young prefer donggeurangttaeng.

El museo que une el palacio Deoksugung con el palacio Gyeonghuigung fue construido en la parte restante de la antigua Corte Suprema en el estilo de los años 1920. Masan Place is located in a famous food alley near Seoul City Hall.
