Located on the opposite side of Korea Bamboo Museum, House by the Museum is a uniquely named restaurant. The main menu includes tteokgalbi (grilled short rib meat patties) which is comprised of minced lean meat, green onion, onion, bulgogi sauce and sesame oil, which makes the taste tender. As for the nutrition, it has a lot of essential fatty acid from sesame oil that complements with the beef.

Another signature dish of the restaurant is Daetongbap - rice cooked in a bamboo, made with rice, millet, bean, sorghum, jujube, nuts and others. Tteokgalbi gets its name from its resemblance to rice cakes, or tteok. In addition to its texture, its savory marinade brings out the meaty flavor of tteokgalbi. Aside from their main dish, hanu (Korean beef) tteokgalbi, they also have dwaejigalbi, bulgogi, and galbi tang available, served with regular side dishes of a Korean set menu, even including a dessert. El festival se realiza en un paisaje en donde se encuentra el camino de los árboles de bambú, cuyo recorrido es de 2,4 km. Además, también se puede participar en programas diferentes que se establecen en el río: “viajar en balsa”, “andar en bicicleta sobre una superficie acuática”, etc., y en el centro de experimentación cultural y de comidas, se pueden degustar los platos tradicionales de distintos países. En particular, en sus cercanías se encuentran: el jardín Soswaewon, el bosque Gwanbangjerim, el Jardín del Bambú Juknokwon y el Sendero de las Metasecuoyas, entre otros.

Yacimiento de Dólmenes de Hwasun (화순 고인돌군 유적) [Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad de la Unesco]

El Yacimiento de Dólmenes de Hwasun está situado cerca de las cascadas de la cordillera que une Hyosan-ri de Dogok-myeon y Daesin-ri de Chunnyang-myeon. Según diversos estudios, 135 de las 980 rocas de Hyosan-ri en Dogok-myeon son dólmenes. También hay unas 100 rocas planas que aún mantienen su forma. En Daesin-ri de Chunnyang-myeon hay unos 124 dólmenes, de entre 3.309 rocas. Hay al menos 300 que mantienen su forma, y 23 dólmenes fúnebres. Lo que hace especiales los dólmenes de Hwasun es su abundancia, con 596 dólmenes en este pequeño distrito, incluyendo la mayor losa de Corea. El Yacimiento de Dólmenes de Hwasun fue registrado como el Patriminio Cultural de la Humanidad por la Unesco el 2 de diciembre de 2000, junto con los yacimientos de Gochang y Ganghwa.

El Jardín del Bambú Juknokwon es un enorme bosque de bambú que se encuentra situado en Hyanggyo-ri, Damyang-eup, del distrito Damyang-gun. Pasando el puente Hyanggyo, que conecta el Arroyo Damyangcheon, perteneciente al río Yeongsangang, y el bosque ornamental Gwanbangjerim, lo podrá encontrar localizado hacia su izquierda. Subiendo lentamente por los escalones de piedra que se presentan desde la entrada del jardín, sentirá que el cuerpo se aligera, y absorbiendo el viento que emite el bosque de bambú, también podrá alcanzar la libertad espiritual. La otra experiencia apasionante la vivirá cuando camine entre las plantas de bambú, recibiendo los rayos solares que atraviesan entre las ramas y hojas, y el sonido que produce el viento es otra gran fuente de alegría. Si está planificando la visita a esta zona, recuerde degustar del té saludable de bambú juknokcha, que se prepara con la planta que crece a la sombra del bambú. Es ideal para disfrutarlo después de la recorrida por el jardín.
