Founded and opened by Monk Jeongsan, Sanchon is a vegan-friendly restaurant that mainly serves temple foods. The dishes found here are a results of Kim Yun-sik, who was inspired by the simple, clean and healthy diet that a Buddhist practitioner taught him years ago. Now, being a top authority on vegetarian food in Korea, Kim Yun-sik helped perfect the standard and quality of temple food.  

The dishes are made with all natural ingredients such as vegetables and mountain herbs, and are cooked without chemical additives. The actual dishes served vary by season, and in order to meet the tastes of the general public, the restaurant includes "five spices" (garlic, shallots, mountain leeks, etc.), which monks are typically not allowed to eat. Those who would like their food without these ingredients are asked to make their request at least one day prior to visiting.

Museo Gahoe (가회민화박물관)

El Museo Gahoe fue inaugurado en el año 2002 y expone pinturas populares, amuletos, etc., que muestran la vida y la aspiración que tenían los coreanos en la antigüedad. Se cuentan 250 pinturas populares, 750 talismanes, 150 tomos de libros antiguos, 200 dibujos de dioses, 250 materiales folclóricos, entre otros, que hacen un total de 1.700 piezas en exposición.

En el interior del área dedicada a las casas tradicionales hanok se puede conocer y explorar la vida de las personas en el pasado histórico, pinturas populares, dibujos que reflejan la religión y los mitos tradicionales, tejas con las imágenes de personas o espíritus, etc. Además, en los biombos decorados con talismanes, se puede echar un vistazo al esfuerzo que hacían los antepasados para superar las dificultades.

Catedral Católica de Myeong-dong en Seúl (서울 명동성당)

La Catedral Católica de Myeong-dong es el corazón de las iglesias católicas de Corea y el símbolo tradicional de la zona de Myeong-dong. Las razones por la que muchísima gente visita este lugar, sin importar la fe que profese, es por la magnífica edificación arquitectónica y su interior, y, por supuesto, por la ubicación central, ya que se encuentra en la zona comercial más famosa de la ciudad de Seúl.

El diseño interior al estilo gótico es muy atractivo. La construcción comenzó en el año 1892 y se completó en mayo de 1898. La empinada torre, cuya altura es de 45 metros, sobresale por encima de los demás edificios de sus inmediaciones. Todos los edificios pertenecientes a la basílica fueron hechos de ladrillo, pero varían en la forma y color. Si pasa frente a la figura de Cristo que se yergue en el frente de la catedral e ingresa a ella, verá las magníficas columnas internas, las ventanas en vitró y el lujoso altar. Si gira sobre sus pies y mira hacia atrás, observará el lugar del coro y el órgano de tubos en el piso 2. Seguramente, sentirá a flor de piel el ambiente serio del catolicismo.

En el subsuelo hay una pequeña capilla y los mausoleos de los mártires. En la Víspera de Navidad, se realiza una misa solemne de medianoche en esta Catedral de Myeong-dong.
