Después de ser inaugurado el 25 de octubre de 2002, el Museo del Nokcheongja ha organizado clases sobre la cerámica para visitantes, y ofrecido la información académica en cuanto al Área de Hornos de Celadones Verdes en Incheon (Sitio Histórico Nº 211).

La excavación en este lugar se realizó, en cuatro escasiones, desde diciembre de 1965 hasta mayo de 1966 por parte los equipos de investigación conjuntos del Museo Nacional de Corea y el Museo Civil de Incheon. El celadón cocido en este horno tiene un esmaltado verde o marrón oscuro con una superficie irregular (llamado nokcheongja, en coreano). El sitio de hornos de celadones verdes fue el primer patrimonio cultural en esta área que fue designado como Sitio Histórico en mayo de 1970.
