Damyang Songgangjeong Pavilion (담양 송강정)

Explanation

Songgangjeong pavilion is located in Wongang-ri, Damyang-gun, Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City. It was registered as Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City Provincial Monument No. 1 on January 29, 1972. Joseon dynasty poet Jeong Cheol (pen name, Songgang) composed his famed poem “Samiingok” from this pavilion. Next to it presently stands the Samingok memorial stone. The two structures at this site, Hwanbyeonkdang and Sigyeongjeong, are collectively referred to as the “Relics of Jeong Songgang.”

Palmido Cruise (팔미도유람선)

The Palmido Cruise is a sightseeing cruise that departs from Yeonan Pier in Jemulpo-gu, Incheon. The route to Palmido Island, located approximately 16 km west of Yeonan Pier, offers views of the Incheondaegyo Bridge and the islands of the West Sea. Palmido Island is home to Korea’s first modern lighthouse, which was lit in 1903. The old lighthouse has been designated as a National Historic Site, and the new lighthouse, built in 2003, stands side by side with it. Palmido Island was long restricted as a military protection zone but was opened to the public in 2009. Visitors can explore the lighthouse, the Lighthouse History Museum, Sopalmido Beach, and the Dulle Trail. Cruise options include a round-trip route to Palmido Island lasting approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes and an 80-minute sightseeing cruise around the waters off Incheon. Depending on the season and day of the week, additional programs such as a sunset cruise to view the sunset over the West Sea, a fireworks cruise, and squid fishing on board are also available. The Camellia Cruise, currently in service, consists of three decks: the first deck features a snack bar and a karaoke room; the second deck has an indoor seating area; and the third deck offers an outdoor Observatory with a 360-degree view.

Opened in 2003, Resort Spavalley is a hot spring and sauna facility located in Naengcheon-ri, Gachang-myeon, Dalseong-gun. The building's first floor has a gym, a souvenir shop, and other stores. The second floor features a Bade (meaning bathing) pool, a children's pool, the Samhap experience room, the UK-Ball jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), a fast food store, a cave-like jjimjilbang, and a sleeping room.
