Wentteok Village (웬떡마을)

Explanation

Wentteok Village gets its name from the word “Wentteok” (meaning “unexpected windfall”) and is a slow food village located in Jungneung-ri, Wonsam-myeon, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. At the village, you can make traditional rice cake from fresh seasonal ingredients or make a tteok (rice cake) cake and have your own small party.

The village is a great venue to learn more about tteok (rice cakes) and to enjoy other hands-on activities such as eco-friendly farming activities and other traditional activities.

The Seongbuk-dong–Bukchon Hanok Village Course is a nostalgic path connecting famous old houses in Seongbuk-dong and Bukchon Hanok Village, divided by the old city walls. Along the way, you'll find historic sites like Gilsangsa Temple, Jeongbeopsa Temple, Han Yong-un’s Simujang House, and novelist Lee Tae-jun's House. The trail also features charming cultural spots, such as the traditional tea house Sooyeon Sanbang and the Seongbuk Museum of Art.

The scene in the alley where Ki-woo visited Mr. Park's house in a wealthy neighborhood for expensive tutoring was filmed in a residential area in Seongbuk-dong. Seongbuk-dong, an old wealthy village, has luxury mansions lined up in. There are many pretty cafés and galleries here and there, so it's good to take a leisurely look around. Mr. Park's house was a filming set, which was demolished after filming.

It is also called the North Breakwater of Hallim Port because it is located in the northern part of Hallim Port. It was the place where Min Seon-ah (played by Shin Min-a) tried to end her life by throwing herself into the water. It extends for about 1,500 meters toward the sea, so you can enjoy the feeling of walking on the sea. On days when the sky is clear and the sea is calm, the sparkling water surface is even more dazzling. If you walk while watching the fishing boats come and go from the port, you will reach the end of the breakwater where you can see the white lighthouse and Biyangdo Island. It takes about 30 minutes on foot.

This is the place where the two main characters in school uniform sat in a small cabin that says “Forest Library.” The scene where the two kissed for the first time while avoiding the rain was filmed here. As the name suggests, it is a place where anyone can rest and read a book in the metasequoia forest. If you sit in the same spot and take a picture, you can get a nice photo. In addition, each zone has a lot of things to see, such as performance halls, sculptures, rose gardens, and wetlands, which are loved by citizens.
