Ancient Tombs in Gyo-dong and Songhyeon-dong, Changnyeong (창녕 교동과 송현동 고분군)

Songhyeon-dong Ancient Tombs, located under Mokmasanseong Fortress at the west foot of Hwawangsan Mountain, are large ancient tombs located in the southwest by the road leading to Hyeonpung. The Gyo-dong Ancient Tombs are dozens of ancient tombs that were once gathered around a large royal tomb, which among only eight tombs with damaged mounds now remain. Some of these ancient tombs were excavated by the Japanese between 1918 and 1919, and most of the relics were moved to Japan, and only some of them remain in Korea. According to the results of the investigation at the time, the large tombs were either built in a passageway form or an entry gate form.

It is said that a large number of relics such as jewelry made of various precious metals, including gold crowns, pure gold transplants, and copper, iron armour, and earthenware were excavated. The excavation report left by the Japanese is simple, so it is not possible to accurately grasp the structure of the Gyo-dong Ancient Tombs and the excavated relics. Twenty-one of the existing tombs have been restored so far, and only one of them has an accessible entrance.

The tombs in Songhyeon-dong are largely divided into two areas. Area 1 used to be large tombs with 80 tombs west of the foot of Mokmasan Mountain, but now only about 16 tombs remain. It is said that there were about 20 tombs in the second area near the stone Buddha in Songhyeon-dong, but now most of them have turned into rice paddies, and only a few tombs reveal their original appearance. Since the tombs are close to the Gyo-dong tombs, the structure of the tomb and the nature of the relics are believed to be almost the same. Along with the Gyo-dong tombs, a large number of relics were excavated in 1918, but the whereabouts of some of the relics are unknown.

Santokki Park is a recreational space located behind Ibang Elementary School in Changnyeong-gun. The park was inspired by the children's song "Santokki," meaning mountain rabbit, composed and written by Lee Il-lae who was a staff at Ibang Elementary School. The park comprises a variety of things to do and see related to rabbits, including a rabbit village, rabbit cave, and rabbit feeding experience. There are also spaces dedicated to Lee Il-lae, his work, and small animals. The park is kids-friendly with recreational places where children can freely run around as well as other amenities that help visitors rest and relax.

Nuengnae Station [Discontinued Station] (능내역 폐역)

Neungnae Station, located in Namyangju, was discontinued in November 2008 with the opening of Ungilsan Station. The station has been maintained as a monument, with some of the train tracks still in place. A bicycle path in front of the station connects Neungnae Station with the nearby Dasan Historic Site.

Hamdeok Catholic Church (합덕성당)

Hamdeok Catholic Church was built in 1929 in the gothic style. The church started out as Yangchon Catholic Church in Sanggung-ri, but was moved to the current location by the priest, and renamed Hamdeok Catholic Church. The name was later changed to New Apdeok Catholic Church before being returned to the current Hamdeok Catholic Church.

Samsunsan Arboretum (삼선산수목원)

Samseonsan Arboretum is a nature experience learning center and home to over 1,160 different species of plants. In addition to outdoor gardens where you can enjoy a variety of flowers and trees, there are also 10 facilities including an exhibition greenhouse, Kid's Dream Forest, and Korean Peninsula Park. It also features 23 exhibit gardens such as a hydrangea garden and azalea garden. Moreover, the arboretum presents diverse and beautiful sceneries during each season and is well-equipped with convenience facilities including a children's playground in the forest, a picnic area, cafe, and a water play area. Samseonsan Arboretum runs various programs for children and teenagers as well as the general public, and such programs include a forest guide program through which you can explore the arboretum with a forest commentator to feel the nature, a forest eco experience for children and infants, and the weekend experience program features plays, craft activities and other hands-on experiences.

Mannyeongyo Bridge (만년교)

Mannyeongyo Bridge in Yeongsan, Changnyeong is an arch-shaped stone bridge over the village creek. Because the creek flows from the south of the mountain, the bridge is also known as Namcheongyo Bridge. Natural rocks found on the sides of the creek are used as stone flooring, and well-polished granite stones are stacked on top of the rocks in the shape of an arch. The top of the bridge is layered with round natural stones and covered with soil as a pathway for people crossing the bridge. The road surface curves and stretches on both ends, making the atmosphere of the bridge more cozy. It was first built in the 4th year of King Jeongjo of the Joseon dynasty (1780) and rebuilt in the 29th year of King Gojong (1892). Odaesan Woljeongsa Needle Fir Forest Trail (오대산 월정사 전나무숲길)

This forest trail stretches about 1 kilometer from Iljumun Gate of Woljeongsa Temple in Odaesan Mountain to Geumgang Bridge. The trail has 1,700 fir trees stretching high into the sky and is a tourist attraction representing Woljeongsa Temple, a temple with a thousand years of history. Many travelers visit Woljeongsa Temple to walk this forest path. The forest road, where the scent of phytoncide clears the body and mind, is always beautiful, but in winter, white snow falls on the green fir trees, making it even more wonderful. This trail is also well-known as a filming location for the drama "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2017)." The scene where the goblin (played by Gong Yoo) and the bride (played by Kim Go-eun) confirm their love in a snowy fir tree forest was filmed here. It is said that the forest trail was first created when nine fir trees were planted in front of Woljeongsa Temple about 1,000 years ago. Fir trees have been commonly planted around temples since ancient times because they grow straight and fast and also play a role in fire prevention. Woljeongsa Temple, located at the end of the forest road, is a historic temple with a 1400-year history. Sansa (Buddhist monastery), with its lush mountain background, has many national treasures, including the octagonal nine-story stone pagoda of Woljeongsa Temple in Pyeongchang.

Ungok Ramsar Wetland, registered as Ramsar Wetland in 2011, is home to endanged species and various rare animals and flowers. The wetland also has four different courses that will take visitors all around the wetlands. Course 1 takes approximately 50 min and is 3.6 km-long. Course 2 takes approximately 2 hour 30 minutes and is 9.5 km-long. Course 3, the longest out of the 4 courses takes approximately 3 hours 30 minutes and is 10.2 km-long. Last, Course 4 takes approximately 2 hours 50 minutes and is 10.1 km-long.
