Grasswon Park is located on the banks of the Nakdonggang River as it cuts through downtown Andong. The park, north of Yeonggadaegyo Bridge, features walking trails thorugh a variety of flowers and grasses. The park is attractive all year round, but is especially popular in fall when the muhly grass turns the whole field into a lovely shade of pink. The walking and bicycle paths also connect with Baekjo Park to the south of the bridge, making this the perfect place to enjoy the pure environment of the Nakdonggang River.

Follow the coastal road north of Gangneung to reach the white lighthouse at the end of the hill in Jumunjin. Beyond the lighthouse is Sodol Adeul Rock Park, boasting beautiful and unique rock formations sculpted by wind and waves. The first thing that greets the visitors as they approach from the road is a sharp and angular black rock formation that resembles a bull, followed by other rocks that take on the shape of elephants and many other shapes. Sodolbawi Rock was originally underwater before rising to the surface due to tectonic movements during the Jurassic Period 150 million years ago. It is home to a legend where an old couple prayed for 100 days to conceive a son, and thus a famous spot visited by many newlyweds.

Its name comes from the combination of Mangwon-dong and the Gyeongnidan Street in Itaewon, meaning the “Gyeongnidan Street of Mangwon-dong.” There are a variety of restaurants, cafes, dessert shops, and other small shops, each with their own charm, making it a great place to take the kids shopping or just get some rest. This place is quite close to Mangwon Market, so visitors can stop by the market if time allows. Saemangeum is one of the largest land reclamation projects in Korea. After about 20 years of construction, Saemangeum Embankment was completed in 2010. Hwangnidan Street was originally known as “Hwangnam Keungil” near Poseok-ro, Hwangnam-dong. Its name comes from the combination of Hwangnam-dong and Gyeongnidan Street in Itaewon, Seoul, meaning the “Gyeongnidan Street of Hwangnam-dong.” The street is home to numerous restaurants, cafes, photo studios, and shops housed in traditional hanok buildings, making it popular among the younger generations in Korea. It played an important role in the battle not only during the Three Kingdoms Period, but also throughout history, including the Goryeo period, the late Joseon period, and the Korean War. Climbing uphill along the fortress wall will lead to an open view of a vast landscape. Night lighting and photo zones have been formed around the fortress to entertain visitors to the fortress.
