Located on the coast of the East Sea, Yeongdeok Crab Village is famous for its classical scholars, and its wonderful scenery, where the mountains meet the sea. The traditional fishing village is the home of Yeongdeok snow crab that was well-known from Goryeo dynasty (King Taejo) and also has a huge street for snow crabs, packed with around 100 shops selling crabs along the Gangguan Port. When the season for snow crabs arrives in November, lasting through May, the village is crowded with visitors from all over the world eager to try Yeongdeok snow crabs.

In addition, the location of the village gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful sea roads in Korea. In the area are also a sea fishing site, beaches, and water resort venues that are suitable for both recreation and relaxation.

Geumsan Park is a dense evergreen forest near a village in Aeweol-eup, Jeju-si. The forest is the sole evergreen forest remaining in the flatlands of western Jeju, and is home to tall evergreens and 60 species of subtropical plants. The forest is preserved and protected as a Natural Monument and a natural resource for academic research. Collecting plants and hunting in the forest are strictly prohibited.

The airfield was built by Jeju-do residents under force by the Japanese army during the Second World War. Visitors can explore the airfield, the control tower, an anti-aircraft emplacement and a hangar at the site. There are relics of the Japanese army and tragic relics of Korea's modern history at 4.3 Historic Site and Jinji Cave in the vicinity to Songaksan Mountain and close to the airfield.

Sammaebong Peak is residental park popular among tourists. Oedolgae Rock is located near the park, toward the southern sea. At the top of the peak, Namseongjeong Pavilion offers an expansive view inclusive of Beomseom Island, Munseom Island, Saeseom Island and Seopseom Island, in addition to Marado Island and Gapado Island to the west. Baengnokdam Lake seems nearly within reach to visitors looking out from the peak.

Legend has it that if you stretch your hands toward the sky at night, Canopus (the second-brightest star) is almost within reach. The place is regarded as one of everlasting youth, as Canopus is associated with lifespan. Visitors can exercise and enjoy at walk at the park during the day and in the evenings.

Namwon Keuneong Coast's name means "a hill shaped like an opened mouth ready to swallow up the sea," with Jeju dialect "-eong" meaning "hill". The coastal cliff that reach up to 30 meters in x_height and 200 meters in length is covered with soft green grass. In addition to the two natural caves, visitors can also find a 2-kilometer walking path along the coastline, an observatory deck, resting area, and other amenities. This attraction is popular for fishing as well as a date spot for couples.

Yangcheonhyanggyo Local Confucian School is the only educational institution of the Joseon dynasty remaining in Seoul, and as such was designated Seoul Monument No. 8. Built in the 12th year of Joseon King Taejong (1411), the old school was entirely restored in 1981. There are eight buildings in the premises, including Daeseongjeon Hall, Myeongnyundang Lecture Hall, and Jeonsacheong Hall to name a few. A national ritual service for Confucius is held here twice a year: once in spring and once in fall. Also, various programs are offered to teach Chinese characters, calligraphy, or Oriental painting to regular citizens, as well as elementary, junior, and high school students.

Tomb of Sin Sung-gyeom (posthumous epithet: Jangjeolgong), a founding contributor of the Goryeo Dynasty Sin Sung-gyeom made a great contribution to the foundation of Goryeo by expelling Gung Ye and crowning Wang Geon (later, King Taejo) as a king in 918, together with Bae Hyeon-gyeong, Hong Yu, and Bok Ji-gyeom. When Taejo of Goryeo was surrounded by the army of Gyeon Hwon (founder of Later Baekje) at the Palgongsan Battle in Daegu, Sin exchanged armor with Taejo’s armor to disguise himself as the king and died. The enemy thought that he was Taejo and beheaded him, and Taejo made his head with gold in sorrow and held a funeral for him. The Tomb of Sin Sung-gyeom consists of three mounds, which are said to have been a measure that Taejo took lest the golden head should be stolen. The location of the tomb is regarded as one of the best propitious sites for a grave in Korea, based on geomancy. Surrounded by pine trees, this site overlooks downtown Chuncheon. The tombstone, shrine, and memorial stone were built around the tomb. This tomb was designated as Gangwon-do Monument No. 21 under the title “Sin jangjeolgong Myoyeok (Tomb of Sin Sung-gyeom),” while the memorial stone, bearing the story of the Palgongsan Battle and Sin Sung-gyeom’s performance, was designated as Gangwon-do’ Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 155.

Gapado Island is Jeju's fourth largest island, located off the southwestern coast. The island is said to look like a ray swimming in the waves, giving the island its name. A bicycle rental shop is located right at the harbor, allowing visitors to tour the entire island in 1-2 hours. The best time to visit Gapado Island is in April and May, when the barley is ripe. During this time, the island holds the annual Green Barley Festival, with plenty of fun events related to this local harvest.
