Bogyeongsa Temple in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do rest with Jungnamsan Mountain in the background, surrounded by the peaks of Naeyeonsan Mountain. The temple grounds boast 12 beautiful waterfalls flowing from Naeyeonsan Mountain and a picturesque landscape. Naeyeonsan Bogyeongsa Municipal Park is a scenic area that encompasses both the historic Bogyeongsa Temple and the majestic Naeyeonsan Mountain. The mountain, rising to a x_height of 710 meters, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, characterized by twelve waterfalls cascading through a 14-kilometer-long valley. These waterfalls, coupled with towering rock walls ranging from 50 to 100 meters in x_height, such as Sinseondae Cliff and Haksodae Cliff, along with unique rock formations, create a breathtaking landscape. On the southern side of the mountain lies Bogyeongsa Temple, a significant religious site with origins dating back to the Silla period. The temple complex includes attached hermitages like Seounam Hermitage and Munsuam Hermitage. Notably, the temple houses treasured artifacts, including the stele and stupa of State Preceptor Wonjin.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum was founded in September 17, 2001. The arboretum exhibits local plants from Ulleungdo, an island off Korea’s eastern coast that is home to a special ecosystem that includes rare trees and wildflowers. The arboretum has total of 24 gardens, including the Alpine Botanical Garden, Ulleungdo Native Plant Garden and Needle-leaf Tree Garden.

The Cheongsong Yasong Art Gallery opened on April 29, 2005. The art gallery exhibits 350 Korean paintings and pottery works of Yasong Lee Won-jwa, who is a traditional Korean painter native to Cheongsong. Also on display are around 50 works of noted painters and sculptors from in and out of Korea, and over 10,000 art books, all of which have been donated to the gallery. The two-story building was formerly Sinchon Primary School, which was remodeled into an art gallery after its closure.

Palpal Sikdang is a restaurant located north of Juwangsan National Park. The menu is simple with only three items: dak baeksuk (whole chicken soup), chicken wings, and chicken bulgogi. Dak baeksuk is a bowl of chicken porridge served with chicken. The restaurant’s chicken wings are a dish made only with barbequed chicken wings characterized by a crispy texture and rich seasoning. Chicken bulgogi is a dish of chicken mixed with red pepper paste seasoning and grilled on an iron plate. It goes well with vegetable wraps. It has a spicy taste but is not too spicy, so even children can enjoy it. By the restaurant’s entrance is a clean, drinkable mineral spring water that flows down from the mountains.

This year, the festival is set to take place at Yeongdeok Samsa Marine Park under the theme of "Bell of Hope, Light of Life." Moreover, there will be various New Year's celebrations featuring a music concert sponsored by Taegu Broadcasting Corporation (TBC), sunrise watching, and diverse hands-on experience programs.

Jukdosan, a restaurant specializing in snow crab, is located in the middle of Daege (snow crab) Street at Gangguhang Port, Yeongdeok-gun. On the first floor, a large fish tank filled with snow crabs and fresh raw fish is on display, while the second floor gives off a refreshing atmosphere due to an artificial waterfall pouring down from the glass window. Main menus at this restaurant consist of braised snow crab and fresh hoe (sliced raw fish), with an option of fried rice and daege maeuntang (spicy snow crab stew). Accommodation facilities are also available on the third floor.

Samsa Marine Park is located south of Gangguhang Port, overlooking the expansive East Sea. Thanks to its picturesque beauty and various facilities, the park is a favorite weekend picnic spot for families. Major facilities include Theme Land, Happy Land, a performance hall, bungalows, restaurants, and stores. There is even an artificial waterfall and a 20 ton-rock carved with floral patterns that add to the park's unique beauty.

Another must-see sight for visitors is Manghyangtap Pagoda, which was set up by those originally from North Korea. Every year on New Year’s Eve, a bell ringing ceremony takes place during the area’s sunrise festival.

Located on the coast of the East Sea, Yeongdeok Crab Village is famous for its classical scholars, and its wonderful scenery, where the mountains meet the sea. The traditional fishing village is the home of Yeongdeok snow crab that was well-known from Goryeo dynasty (King Taejo) and also has a huge street for snow crabs, packed with around 100 shops selling crabs along the Gangguan Port. When the season for snow crabs arrives in November, lasting through May, the village is crowded with visitors from all over the world eager to try Yeongdeok snow crabs.

In addition, the location of the village gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful sea roads in Korea. In the area are also a sea fishing site, beaches, and water resort venues that are suitable for both recreation and relaxation.
