Taejongdae Cliffed Coast was formed by many layers of rock being forced together beneath a lake during the Cretaceous period, and then worn away over time by the sea. The coast features many geological formations, including sea caves and uniquely shaped rocks. Visitors can enjoy walking on the forested paths, or take the train course to easily access Taejongdae Observatory and Yeongdo Coastal Culture Space.

The 40-step Culture & Tourism Theme Street is a 450-meter street leading up to the 40-step stairway of the '40-step Cultural Center' and continues to the Palseong Tour.
The time-honored 40-step stairway embodies the joys and sorrows of refugees and those displaced by the Korean War. The entire area has been recently renovated to reflect life in Korea in the 50s & 60s.
The 40-step Culture & Tourism Theme Street was designated 'The Best Street' by the Busan municipal government in June 2004.

AREA6 is a multipurpose cultural space made to promote the artisans and artists of Busan as a part of an urban regeneration project. On the first floor, there are a total of nine spaces, including F&B brands, select shops, and information centers. The second floor is a co-working space and lounge, and the third floor consists of a rooftop and seminar room that anyone can freely use. It was designed sensibly by keeping the existing buildng's shape without compromising volume and scale. Each space, such as a small alley that leads from the yard like a maze, is full of individuality and is fun to look around. Yeongdo Lighthouse, first lit in 1906, stands at Taejongdae Park. It houses a maritime library, galleries, an observatory, and a café. From the observatory, on clear days, you can even see as far as the Japanese island of Tsushima Island. At the base of the lighthouse, there's a sculpture of a woman turned into stone, waiting for her husband who went out to sea. You can reach it by walking from Taejongdae Park or taking the Taejongdae Danubi Train.
