Busan Healing Forest is the first “healing forest” to be founded in the Gyeongsang-do region. This place is where visitors can reflect on emotions and relax through various wellness programs surrounded by nature and healing energy. Busan Healing Forest is 153ha in size, and it takes about 40 minutes to walk around the central trail starting from the visitor center at the entrance. Programs tailored to various audiences are operated in multiple places found along the central trail: the Forest Library, Mind Sharing Site, Forest Healing Yard, Forest Meditation Site, Pine Wind Bathing Site, and Prenatal Education Forest.

Ttangmoesan Mountain (땅뫼산)

The Ttangmoesan Mountain Forest Trail, wrapping around the Hoedong Reservoir, is distinguished by its red clay path. This trail spans 1.7 kilometers and can be comfortably completed in approximately thirty minutes at a relaxed pace. As you stroll through the lush cypress forest, the cool sensation of the red clay is enjoyable under bare feet. The journey along forest paths and wooden deck walkways also reveals a variety of trees native to the lake marsh environment.

Busan Hongbeopsa Temple (홍법사(부산))

Hongbeopsa Temple is located in Geumjeong dugu-dong, Busan and is known for the largest bronze Amida Buddha Statue in Korea at 21 meters. Surrounded by Cheolmasan Mountain and Geumjeongsan Mountain, a beautiful scenery stretching out to Suyonggang River makes one feel as if you were in Yeonhwajang, an ideal world in Buddhism that is filled with lotus flowers.

The temple has training rooms for visitors to practice meditation as well as a bust statue of Gandhi, donated by the Government of India to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between Korea and India. The temple has a wealth of attractions that cannot be seen in other temples of Korea such as huge statue of Buddha, India Cultural Center, Jeokmyeolbogung Palace, and beautiful gardens, luring an increasing number of tourists every year.

Ahopsan Forest (아홉산숲)

Ahopsan Forest is a forest located at the foot of Ahopsan Mountain in Cheolma-myeon, Gijang-gun, Busan. It is a place where visitors can meet the undamaged natural environment and ecology. Diverse forests ㅡsuch as bamboo forests, cypress forests, cedar trees, ginkgo trees, and natural forests, including Geumgang pine trees aged 100 to 300 years, make up Ahopsan Mountain. It is a private forest with a total area of 520,000 square meters and has been there for about 400 years. Only a limited number of people who have made a reservation in advance are allowed to enter for nature conservation. Unlike amusement parks and recreation areas, viewing is possible only within the limits that do not damage nature. However, forest experiences, activity programs for children, and forest explanation program are offered for visitors' entertainment.

Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, with a circumference of 18,845 meters along the ridges and valleys of Geumjeongsan Mountain, is a large-scale fortress built during the Joseon dynasty between 1701 and 1703. The fortress is accompanied by Geumjeongsanseong Village and is known for producing Sanseong makgeolli (unrefined rice wine), a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage. Additionally, there are numerous restaurants, cafés, and attractions, making it a place where nature, history, cuisine, and sightseeing coexist.

Hurshimchung is a large-scale hot spring facility using natural hot spring water and lit by natural lighting through the ceiling. Known for its magnesium-rich hot spring water, it is believed to be beneficial for conditions such as neuralgia, cut wounds, back pain, and muscle aches. The facility includes large hot spring baths, saunas, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and massage shops. The hot spring baths feature various event baths using natural bathing ingredients and medicinal herb depending on the season. There are also various types of saunas, including charcoal sauna and red clay sauna.

Busan Marine Natural History Museum (부산해양자연사박물관)
