Haslla Art World is a cultural park overlooking the East Sea. “Haslla” was the former name of the Gangneung area during the Goguryeo and Silla Periods. Made by the sculptor couple, Park Shinjung and Choi Okyung, the park is also home to Haslla Museum Hotel and Haslla Wedding Hall.

Full of works of art, Haslla Museum Hotel is decorated with meticulous details. In fact, the entire hotel looks like a piece of art from beautiful beds to chic restaurant. There is no mirror in the bathroom and there are no locks within rooms, aiding guests in focusing on the present. Every room overlooks the East Sea with elegant bathtubs.

Haegasa is a site named after the tale of 'Haega' in "The Heritage of the Three States." While the original Haegasa is assumed to be on Wausan Mountain at the northern end of Samcheok Beach, it has been restored on Jeungsandong Beach against the backdrop of beautiful scenery. Located near Haegasa are Chuam Beach and Surobuin Park, which hosues a dragon ball, upon which people make their wishes.

Situated at the entrance of Mureung Valley, this environmental disease prevention and management center is directly run by Donghae city. Environmental diseases are those that develop due to environmental factors, such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, and allergic rhinitis. This center, spanning approx. 24,000 square meters, consists of an eco-friendly healing lodging, a themed experience center, a health consultation room, a thermal therapy room, and a natural health food restaurant. The accommodation facility, built with eco-friendly materials such as red clay and Hinoki cypress, offers healthy accommodations as well.
The themed experience center is a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) created using natural materials, such as stones, soil, and salt. You can participate in various programs without staying overnight, such as handcrafting using eco-friendly materials, themed experiences, health consultations, and a natural health food experience. In summer, don't forget to visit Oseonnyeotang, a nature-friendly bath filled with water from Mureung Valley.
