Dongbaekseom Island (Island of Camellias) is an island located off one end of Busan's famous Haeundae Beach. Although the years of sedimentation have connected the island to the mainland, Dongbaekseom was originally an island and is still referred to as one.

Dongbaekseom Island is easy to navigate thanks to the walking path that is built around it. The island has several attractions, including the monument inscribed with a poem of scholar Choi Chi-won, the mermaid statue based on the legend of Princess Hwagok, and the Nurimaru APEC House. It also offers fantastic views of the Busan shoreline towards Mipo, Dalmaji Hill, Gwangangdaegyo Bridge, and Oryukdo Island. As the name suggests, camellias burst into bloom everywhere on the island from winter to spring.

Doraemon in Busan (두근두근 도라에몽 in Busan 展)

Doraemon in Busan is a themed exhibition based on the popular animation "Doraemon." The exhibition takes place from May 1 to November 3 in Busan. There is a special zone dedicated to incorporating the charms of Busan with Doraemon. Other highlights of the exhibition in the 6-meter tall Doraemon statue outside and limited merch available on the 3rd floor. The exhibition is open from 11 to 19:30, and last admission is at 19:00. Halmae Jaecheop Guk is a restaurant featuring jaecheop guk (marsh clam soup). Since its opening 28 years ago in the food village beside Nakdong River, its reputation has spread by word of mouth. Jaecheop guk is long been famous as a good hangover cure. The restaurant cooks the soup over a wood fire to give it a special flavor.

Gombo Sikdang serves various raw meat like omasum and liver of the freshest quality thanks to its location close to Gupo slaughterhouse. Oryukdo Skywalk (오륙도 스카이워크)

Oryukdo Skywalk is located at what was called Seungdumal, meaning a saddle, due to the shape of the point. It was also called Jallokgae by residents and female divers in the area.

The construction of Oryukdo Skywalk began on September 12, 2012, at the Seungdumal area, which is regarded as the dividing point between the East Sea and the South Sea, and the skywalk opened on October 18, 2013, with the theme of "walking over the sky.”

Iron columns were set up over a 35-meter-high coastal cliff, and a 15-meter glass bridge comprised of 24 glass plates and shaped like a horse’s hoof connect the iron columns. The glass flooring was made by four layers of 12-millimeter glass panels coated with a bulletproof film for a total thickness of 55.49 millimeters, making the structure quite safe. Visitors will be thrilled with the view of the waves while looking down through the transparent floor. The sea stretches out ahead of the skywalk, perfect for a photo op.
