Solbaram Bridge, completed in 2010, is a 197-meter-long pedestrian and bike bridge with great views. It was named after the pine trees of Gangneung (sol) and the wind (baram) due to its windy nature. Connecting the river with the sea, the bridge offers beautiful night views and refreshing sea breezes, making it a popular place for dates as well as family vacations. To the north across the bridge, visitors can find the Gangneunghang Port Yacht Marina and the Gangneung Coffee Street.

Hapyeonghaebyeon Beach is a tranquil beach with a shallow shore lined with pine groves. The beach is only 20 minutes away on foot and 10 minutes' ride from Donghae Express Bus Terminal, making it a great beach destination for family vacationers and tourists. The 20-meter wide shoreline is 200 meters in lenth, all covered with white sand. The beach also has rocks along the coast that act as a natural breakwater, preventing rough waves from entering the shore, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for swimming.

Anmokhaebyeon Beach spans over 500 meters in length and covers an area of 20,000 square meters. The beach is often packed with families on vacation. Right in front of the beach is Anmokhang Port, where around 23 fishing boats can be moored to unload their catch throughout the year. The place has also become more popular since the main street along the beach earned the reputation as a "coffee street."

Gangneung is as renowned for its delicious coffee as it is for its scenic coastline. Strolling along the cafe-lined beaches of Gangneung, visitors can experience a coffee aroma that rivals the sea breeze. Famous coffee manufacturers attend the Gangneung Coffee Festival and hold a tasting event. At the opening ceremony, 100 baristas hold a “100 People 100 Tastes” performance where they simultaneously brew hand-drip coffee. Visitors are welcome to taste 100 kinds of coffee at this special event. During the festival, competitions are held to select the No. 1 barista for each category, including latte art, hand drip, and roasting. Tourists can also visit cafés in Gangneung that are taking part in the festival and receive a stamp to get a prize. Coffee enthusiasts should not miss this opportunity.

Donganjae is a hanok-style pension built of pinewood and red clay and located in Donghae-si, Gangwon-do. All rooms are ondol-heated and equipped with a shower booth and bidet, and offer scenic views from the numaru floor. The hanok uses geothermal heating (from 150 metres underground) which makes the rooms warm and cozy. Residents can bathe their feet in the fountain in the middle of the yard, and enjoy a morning walk on the pine tree trail behind the house. Donganjae is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from the Donghae City Bus Terminal.

The beach is located in Songjeong-dong with white sand, a length of 700 meters, and an area of ​​25,000㎡. The surrounding area is famous for its pine forests. It is said that when Choi Mun-han, the wife of King Chungsuk of Goryeo, came to Gangneung from Songdo, he brought 8 pine trees and planted them here. There is also the world's largest Charmsori Gramophone and Audio Museum, making it a great place to enjoy the summer and music. Mukho Lighthouse, visible in the distance alongside the blue sea and white sand, serves as a picturesque backdrop for photos. The Hanseom Gamseong Sea Trail is a 2.2-kilometer-long trail, connecting Hanseomhaebyeon Beach, Gobulgae, and Gase Village. Part of the trail is a deck-built promenade, making it a perfect course for a stroll while enjoying the lush pine forest on one side and the blue sea on the other.
