Sogeumganggyegok Valley is located on the east side of Odaesan Mountain. The valley is also referred to as Cheonghak Dongsogeum because the scenery resembles a crane (cheonghak) spreading its wings. Gangneung is as renowned for its delicious coffee as it is for its scenic coastline. Strolling along the cafe-lined beaches of Gangneung, visitors can experience a coffee aroma that rivals the sea breeze. Famous coffee manufacturers attend the Gangneung Coffee Festival and hold a tasting event. At the opening ceremony, 100 baristas hold a “100 People 100 Tastes” performance where they simultaneously brew hand-drip coffee. Visitors are welcome to taste 100 kinds of coffee at this special event. During the festival, competitions are held to select the No. 1 barista for each category, including latte art, hand drip, and roasting. Tourists can also visit cafés in Gangneung that are taking part in the festival and receive a stamp to get a prize. Coffee enthusiasts should not miss this opportunity.

Anmokhaebyeon Beach spans over 500 meters in length and covers an area of 20,000 square meters. The beach is often packed with families on vacation. Right in front of the beach is Anmokhang Port, where around 23 fishing boats can be moored to unload their catch throughout the year. The place has also become more popular since the main street along the beach earned the reputation as a "coffee street."
