Construction on the National Debt Redemption Movement Memorial Park began in March 1998 and was completed in December 1999. The park was established to retain the spirit of the National Debt Redemption Movement that originated in Daegu in 1907 and the 2nd movement in 1997 that was held to help overcome the national economic distress affected by the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997. The park also expanded the green space in the downtown area and offers a place of rest and relaxation to the general public.

Spanning 42,500 square meters in size, the park boasts the Dalgubeol Grand Bell, a bell pavilion, walking trails, and other amenities. The famous Dalgubeol Grand Bell was installed on the park grounds in December 1998 as a representation of harmony and prosperity and to symbolically awaken the people with its pure and clear ringing. In addition the convenient and beautifule amenities, the park also has several memorial plaques engraved with quotes from many significant historical figures who shaped Korea's culture and values.

Dongseong-ro Street, named for its location in relation to the old Daegueupseong Walled Town's wall, is the epicenter of youth culture in Daegu. It is the central business district, stretching 900 meters from Daegu Station Intersection to Art Square. This park was created in 2003 to commemorate the February 28 Student Democratic Uprising in 1960 on the site of Jungang Elementary School. It is a place that contains the pain of Daegu's history from the February 28 Uprising to the March 15 Uprising and the April 19 Revolution, but now it has become a peaceful and pleasant resting place in the city center. Thanks to the cool fountain and the shade created by the beautiful trees, it is established as a park that anyone can visit comfortably, regardless of age or gender. Furthermore, there are various amenities such as a walking trail, stream, and central fountain plaza, as well as many famous restaurants nearby, serving as a convenient public area to the citizens of Daegu throughout the year.

Located downtown Daegu, Hanok 1957 is a traditional Korean hanok built with red pine and woven with clay and straw roof tiles. The rafters, beams, and cabinets inlaid with mother-of-pearl add comfort and tranquility to the interior. There are five guest rooms, all of which are ondol (underfloor heated) rooms with bathrooms. There is a shared kitchen where you can cook simple meals. Daegu Dalseong Park is the oldest outdoor leisure place in Daegu. The park was once a fortress location of Dalgubeol, a tribal country of the Three Kingdoms Era. The area was established as a park in 1905, and in 1965, the city of Daegu transformed the park into the well-organized leisure area loved by citizens and visitors today. Within the park is Historical Monument Gwanpungnu Pavilion, built in 1601 and moved from the entrance of Gyeongsanggamyeon to the park in 1906.
