Daegu Duryu Park was built near Duryusan and Geumbongsan mountains in 1977. The park encompasses the area of Duryusan Mountain including E-World all the way to Geumbongsan Mountain behind Daegu Culture and Arts Center. The name Duryusan came from the fact that the mountain is spread out in a circular form. The total size of the park is approximately 1.7 million ㎡ at a x_height of 135 meters above sea level. Various statues and memorials including 2ㆍ28 Memorial Tower that commemorates the high school students who started the 4ㆍ19 Revolution, as well as a statue of Yi Sang-hwa and more can be found along the Duryu Park circular road. After the opening on October 1977, the park added a soccer field, a baseball field and other recreational facilities as well as private libraries that provide convenience to the citizens.

Pyeonghwa Market was opened in 1975 and is a Jangok-type small market. Since more than 30 years ago, the number of shops selling chicken intestines has increased, and the fried gizzard alley has become one of the unique attractions of Daegu. The market in the chicken gizzard alley dates back to a whole chicken restaurant, Sama Chicken. The owner, who was always worried about what to do with so many leftover chicken gizzards from selling only other parts of a chicken, accidentally started frying chicken gizzards and serving them. The response from the customers was surprisingly good. The chicken gizzard dish she started offering was cheap and delicious, and word of mouth started to spread. After that, as fried chicken dishes such as chicken gizzards, fried chickens, seasoned chickens, steamed chickens, and chicken feet began to appear in earnest, alleys of Daegu-style chicken gizzards served with alcohol appeared.

During the festival, hundreds of photo zones that cannot be seen anywhere in the country, such as a red double-decker bus, merry-go-round, and cherry blossom sky view from the observatory, are filled in the space, allowing you to take hundreds of life shots with every step you take.

The Daegu Chimac Festival celebrates the beloved Korean combination of chicken and beer, a pairing appreciated worldwide thanks to K-dramas. While this combo is enjoyable year-round, it‘s especially delightful on hot summer nights. Known for its scorching summer heat, Daegu, nicknamed “Daefrica” due to its high temperatures, hosts the Chimac Festival every summer. The festival runs from day to night, featuring the popular Chimac Ice Pub, where attendees can cool their feet in icy water while enjoying chicken and beer. The Premium Chimac Club offers EDM parties and performances by various artists. At 9:09 p.m., everyone raises their glasses for a collective toast, among other exciting events.
◎ Age Requirement for Drinking at the Chimac Festival!
Per Korean law, purchasing alcoholic drinks is limited to people aged 19 or over. In order to drink beer, you must have your ID card or (a copy of) your passport.

Anjirang Market, located halfway between Anjirang Five-way Intersection and Anjiranggol-ro Street, is now more widely known for the alley filled with restaurants serving marinated gopchang (intestines). The area started with Chungbuk Restaurant opening in 1979 and expanded until the end of the IMF crisis in 1998. Locals enjoy coming to the area because of the affordable prices. Recently, the area is also trying to draw in a younger demographic by targeting the younger population. In 2012, Anjirang Gopchang Alley was selected as one of the top five food themed streets in the nation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
