With a 5-star hotel, condominium buildings, ski slopes, and a top-class golf course, the mountain resort complex of Phoenix Park provides various recreational and amusement facilities for a great vacation. Snow Lab is a ski and snowboard rental specialty shop located near Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang. During the winter season, it offers a full range of essential winter sports equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, and apparel. The shop features an indoor space of approximately 330 square meters and can accommodate multiple customers for fitting at the same time. A wide range of equipment is available, with options suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced riders. All services, from equipment fitting and assistance with wearing gear to usage guidance, are provided on-site. Snow Lab is located about a one-minute drive from Phoenix Park Ski Resort and is equipped with convenient facilities such as parking, fitting rooms, changing areas, and rest spaces. Guryongsa Temple (구룡사)

Guryongsa Temple is located 6 kilometers from Birobong Peak on Chiaksan Mountain, in the direction of Hakkok-ri. It was believed that Monk Uisang (625-702) of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC - AD 935) built and named the temple Guryongsa in 668 during the reign of King Munmu. However, it is now known that the temple was built after King Sukjong, the 19th King of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), who reigned from 1674 to 1720, because of the architectural style of Daeungjeon Hall. There is a legend that the Guryongsa Temple site was originally a lake where nine dragons lived. The name Guryong comes from the story that the lake was filled up to build the temple on it. There are many buildings such as Daeungjeon Hall, Bogwangnu Pavilion, Samseonggak Pavilion, Simgeomdang Hall and Seolseondang Hall. Daeungjeon Hall has maintained its original shape though it was repaired many times.

Geumdanggyegok Valley, located upstream of the Pyeongchanggang River, is a gorge between three different districts of Bongpyeong-myeon, Yongpyeong-myeon and Daehwa-myeon, just west of Geumdangsan Mountain (1,173 m). Geumdanggyegok Valley is an impressive site with sections of both gentle and fast flowing valley waters. From late March through April full-blown azalea covers the mountainsides and valleys providing visitors with a refreshing spring scent.

To reach Geumdanggyegok Valley, travel down along the Pyeongchanggang River from Jangpyeong or trek up the valley from Anmi Elementary School. Coming down to Pyeongchang-eup from Daehwa-myeon area, visitors will encounter an intersection called, “Saechugeori”. The intersection has two parts: Sanganmi and Haanmiri and a sign indicating the Geumdanggyegok Valley entrance. Across the valley, odd-shaped rock formations and cliffs appear one after another along the river. The area is a native habitat for a species of otter (Natural Treasure No. 330) and a favorite spot for catching catfish.

Hoengseong Hanugukbap is a Korean restaurant that specializes in dishes made with local Hoengseong hanu (Korean beef). The restaurant's signature offering, hanu gukbap (Korean beef and rice soup), is exclusively prepared using Hoengseong hanu, which is renowned for its tender and chewy textures as well as its rich, flavorful juices. The broth, simmered for a long time in a gamasot (cast-iron pot), carries a deep and rich flavor. It's a popular dining spot among both locals and tourists alike.

You can purchase premium cuts of hanu, raised in the Hoengseong region, directly from the counter and grill them in the restaurant. After paying the table setting fees, help yourself to side dishes from the self-serve bar, where refills are also available. The restaurant also offers dishes made with hanu, such as bulgogi and hanutang (Korean beef soup). Other branches can be found in the Ucheon and Saemal areas.

The former Mooee Elementary School was transformed into Mooee Arts Center exhibiting works of noted Korean artists. It is located in the town of Bongpyeong-myeon in Pyeongchang-gun, which was the hometown of the famous Korean writer Lee Hyo-seok (1907-1942) and the background setting of his representative novel "When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom." Mooee Arts Center opened on April 18, 2001, after 2 years of preparation by Korean artists of various genres including the Western-style painter Jeong Yeon-seo, calligrapher Lee Cheon-seop, sculptor Oh Sang-wook, and potter Kwon Soon-beom.
The schoolyard has been turned into an outdoor sculpture park displaying large-scale sculptures. The arts center also offers hands-on experience programs and a chance to view the artists creating their pieces.
