Gwangdeoksa Temple is said to be established in 637 by Monk Jajang Yulsa during the Silla Kingdom and was refurbished during the reign of King Heungdeok (832). The temple sits in the southeast of Gwangdeoksan Mountain, which borders Asan-si and Cheonan-si, and the southwest of Taehwasan Mountain. It was the biggest temple within Chungcheong and Gyeonggi regions before the Japanese invasion. However, it was burnt down during the Japanese invasion and the main buildings such as Daeungjeon, Myeongbujeon and Cheonbuljeon Halls are relatively new compared to the other original facilities.

Nblgaok is a cultural complex located in the old city center of Cheonan. It contains a bookstore, café, restaurant, a meeting place, a ceramics workshop, and a guesthouse. The first floor has the bookstore [Bobuart] and the café [Dongyang Chwimi]. The second floor has the [Wongeori Sikdang] and the rental space [Binkan]. The third floor is home to the ceramic workshop [Hwamyodo], and the fourth floor has the guesthouse [Maroco Stay].

Hakrimjae is a hanok stay in Taesan-ri, Janggun-myeon, Sejong City, Chungcheongnam-do. The house and yard are rented out as a unit. The hanok has three sleeping rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and two bathrooms. The living room has a beam projector and karaoke machine, making it an ideal space for meetings, corporate retreats and club outings;  traditional weddings and outdoor exhibition events are also held in Hakrimjae. Guests can hold an outdoor barbecue, or use the wood-fired furnace and cauldron. Vegetables and fruits from the house’s garden are provided by season, and woodcraft and traditional sauce making experiences are available on prior reservation.

The Arario Sculpture Plaza is visited by over 70,000 people a day, being located outside the Arario Gallery Cheonan, between Cheonan Bus Terminal and Shinsegae Department Store. The plaza is decorated minimally, with just stone benches to enjoy the 30 works of art installed.

The Eco Healing Red Clay Trail is located along the border of Cheonan and Asan. This 2.5km walking path is intended for barefoot hiking, featuring both mats and red clay surfaces. It links to conventional hiking trails that ascend into the mountains. The surrounding forest offers opportunities for forest bathing, with the chance to spot small wildlife among the trees. For relaxation, pavilions and chairs are dispersed along the trail, and facilities for foot washing are available at the end of the trail.

Gangdanggolgyegok Valley is located at the northern foot of Gwangdeoksan Mountain at the boundary between Asan and Cheonan, through which the Oeamcheon Stream flows. The valley has clear water and a lush forest, making it a great place for forest bathing and summertime swimming. Gwangdeoksan Mountain also has excellent hiking trails. The village has campgrounds and pensions for accommodations, along with several restaurants.

Gakwonsa Temple, nestled midway up Taejosan Mountain in Cheonan, stands as a beacon of hope for the peaceful reunification of Korea. The temple's most renowned feature is the immense bronze statue of the seated Amitabha Buddha, which measures 15 meters in x_height, 30 meters in circumference, and weighs 60 tons. Additionally, Gakwonsa Temple is distinguished by its Daeungjeon Hall, the largest Dharma Hall in Korea. The temple's Gaesan Memorial Hall houses a collection of artifacts associated with the temple.

Asan Mediterranean Village, also called Blue Crystal Village, is made up of buildings reminiscent of those found in a Mediterranean village. It is particularly interesting because it is housed in the heart of a modern city. The village is divided into two sections, one taking after the Provence in southern France and the other resembling Santorini in Greece. Famous sights include the photo areas of angel’s wings and a lighthouse-shaped red postbox, along with cafés and stores.
