Opened on November 6, 2010, the Royal Portrait Museum is one of the newest attractions of Jeonju, located within the Gyeonggijeon Shrine. Royal Portrait Museum is a valuable museum as a new tourism resource of Jeonju as well as Gyeonggijeon Shrine and the Portrait of King Taejo, as well as other various high-class exhibitions to preserve, manage, and enhance the glorious cultural assets of Joseon royal family. The museum is comprised of one above-ground level and one underground level with an area of 1,193.71 square meters. The Portrait of King Taejo and six other king’s portraits (Portrait of King Sejong, King Yeongjo, King Jeongjo, King Cheoljong, King Gojong, and King Sunjong) are exhibited on the first floor. The portraits are preserved in temperature- and humidity-controlled cases. In addition, the museum houses History Hall, Palanquin Hall, a planned exhibition hall, resting area, management office and storage room for relics. Palanquin Hall exhibits Hyangjeong (Palanquin for Incense Burner and Case), Sinyeon (Palanquin for Royal Portrait and Palanquin for Mortuary Tablet), Chaeyeo (Palanquin for High Officials), Gagyo (Palanquin for Ritual Items) featuring Korea’s sole preserved palanquin. History Hall houses approximately 80 relices related to Gyeonggijeon Shrine and Jogyeong Shrine, ancestral ritual ceremony, building, and others relics. Since the museum's opening, it makes continual efforts to become a central place for Jeonju residents to fulfill their cultural feelings. The museum operates various program like exploring famous historic sites in Gyeonggijeon Shrine, hands-on programs such as a guard experience to protect the shrine, and duplicating Gyeonggijeon Shrine’s relics using traditional portrait-making techniques.

Baramssoeneun-gil Road is the name of the path leading from Jeonju Eco Museum to Hanbyeok Tunnel. The pathway's name comes from the breeze that blows along the way, making it great for taking a walk. The road was also selected by the Korea Tourism Organization as one of the locations great for traveling with pets. There is also a bicycle rental station located along the road. Hanbyeok Tunnel at the end of the path is famous as a filming site for the drama "Twenty-five Twenty-one (2022)," with many people taking photos here as the main characters.

Saekjang Rice Mill, located approximately 5 minutes by car from Jeonju Hanok Village, is a unique cafe that transformed an old rice mill from the 50s. The cafe exhibits antique art works perfect as a photo spot, but the best photo zone is on the second floor that will take you back in time.

Jeonju Donggosa Temple (동고사 (전주))

Donggosa Temple, located on Seungamsan Mountain in Jeonju, is a Buddhist temple of the Taego Order. The hike up to Donggosa Temple is a refreshing climb, and the temple provides a stunning panoramic view of downtown Jeonju. The temple buildings were constructed one after another along the mountain ridge, and stand in a row on either side of Daeungjeon Hall. The temple is modest and tastefully decorated with portraits of deceased great Buddhist monks and wooden Buddhist murals. The hiking trail to the right of Donggosa Temple leads to Chimyeongjasan Martyrs Ground, which is the graveyard of persecuted Catholics from the late Joseon dynasty.

Jaman Mural Village (자만마을 벽화갤러리)

Jaman Mural Village is located on a hillside across the road from Jeonju Hanok Village. The village was formed by Korean war refugees resettling where they could, and remained as a small village interlaced by narrow pathways until 2012. At that point, the village was enlivened with over 40 murals and became popular for photographs. Many of the houses have been converted into cafes, guesthouses, and restaurants.

Jaman Mural Village (자만벽화마을)

Jaman Mural Village is located in the ridge between Omokdae and Imokdae along the foot of Seungamsan Mountain’s Jungbawi Rock. Jeonju Hanok Village is also visible from the wide street. Although it is a fairly steep walk up to Jaman Village, visitors will be able to enjoy colorful murals painted on the buildings and walls along the way.

Samrakheon is a traditional lodging in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do, and sister hanok to Bukyeongdang. Samrakheon is a spacious old house containing duplex rooms equipped with toilets. In the shared mini-kitchen, simple breakfasts are provided, with coffee, tea, and toast. Guests can sample traditional crafts skills such as Korean paper-making, Injeolmi rice cake making and pottery - and can also get discounts on hanbok wearing and traditional bike riding experiences. Gaeunchae 2 is the sister hanok of Gaeunchae in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do. It’s a traditional red clay-walled hanok with ondol underfloor heating, exposed roof beams and hanji wallpaper and flooring - creating a beautiful and distinctive hanok interior. It has a small hallway which is good for storing luggage or just to sit and chat. In the garden are sculpted stone lanterns and tigers. Local attractions such as Jeondong Cathedral and Gyeonggijeon Shrine are a short walk away.

Eosahwa Hanok Stay, which stands in the center of Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do, was originally built as the residence of the Jeonju police chief; it’s unusually high for a hanok and faces south. A bed has been provided for guests unfamiliar with ondol sleeping, and two rather small rooms were put together to make a larger bedroom and living room. A healthy and delicious breakfast is provided. All the sights of Jeonju Hanok Village are nearby.
