Mangwon Market is one of the representative traditional markets of Seoul. Its proximity to both Mangnidan Street and Hangang Park makes it a great place to do some shopping in preparation for a riverside picnic. The market isn’t very large, but it is packed with delicious treats. One can find classics like the deep-fried and braised chicken, braised pigs' feet, crispy deep-fried green chili pepper, and other snack fare there, along with stores offering food and lifestyle items for some browsing.

Opened in December 2019, this is the first specialized library in Korea, combining a library with an art museum. The first floor has the Art Ground Exhibition Hall (small-scale space for special exhibitions). In contrast, the second floor has reading rooms and libraries, including libraries for children and young adults. The third floor has the Open Studio and a Multipurpose Hall, intended for artists and cultural events.

Yeouido Park is a large recreational area located on Yeouido Island in the central part of Seoul. It was once originally covered with black asphalt, and people frequented the place for bicycling and roller-skating. The construction began in 1997 and opened officially in February 1999. Geomdansan Mountain (alt. 657 m) is one of the major mountains in Hanam. During the Baekje period, it was a sacred mountain where the kings would offer ceremonial services to the gods. From the summit, one can get a great view of Yangsuri, where the Namhangang River and Bukhangang River meet, as well as Hanam, Seoul, Yangpyeong, and Paldangho Lake area.

Due to its proximity to the Seoul Metropolitan Area, it is a popular day trip course. Getting there is easy and the hiking trails, which are not too difficult, are well maintained. From the summit, one can get a great view of Bukhansan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain in the distance. Hikers can also see Paldang Dam to the east, Yongmasan Mountain to the south, and the Jungbu Expressway to the west.

Gyeonggi Janggyeongsa Temple (장경사(경기))

Janggyeongsa Temple is located in Namhansanseong Fortress. Namhansanseong Fortress, which protected Seoul along with Bukhansanseong Fortress, was built at the same time as Janggyeongsa Temple in 1638, during the 16th year of King Injo. Warrior monks from all eight provinces throughout the country helped with the construction. Janggyeongsa Temple is the only remaining temple among nine such temples where military groups made up of monks stayed for trainings.
