Seongsu-dong Handmade Shoes Street (성수동 수제화거리)

Handmade shoe manufacturers began to gather in the 1970s to form a street and make history. Today, there are some 350 handmade shoe manufacturers, 100 intermediate processing and raw materials companies, and new cafes with unique vibes opening up one after another. Thanks to its vintage appeal, many people visit on dates and to take cool photos.

COEX Aquarium (코엑스 아쿠아리움)

The COEX Aquarium comprises 183 display tanks and 90 breeding tanks with 3,500 tons of water volume, making it a large-scale aquarium. It houses 40,000 sea creatures of 650 different species, exhibited in 16 themed zones. In particular, the highest number of sharks and the largest variety of species in Korea are living in this aquarium. Over 20 rest areas located throughout the aquarium, as well as an open-top water tank releasing anions make this tourist site in the heart of Gangnam a perfect healing place for local and international visitors.

COEX Artium (코엑스아티움)

Established by Korea International Trade Association and COEX, COEX Artium is a spacious muscial performance hall with over 800 seats. High quality and diverse musical or theatrical performances are held year-round to satisfy both Korean and international visitors. Foreign language services (English, Japanese, and Chinese) are also available. It has the Trade Promotion Exhibition Hall. Near COEX Artium are many performance halls such as COEX Art Hall (184 seats), Auditorium (1058 seats), Convention Hall (7,000 seats), ang Grand Conference Room (450 seats), making the COEX area a main place for cultural and musical performances in Seoul. Center Coffee (Seoul Forest) is located near Exit 5 of Seoul-forest Station (Suin–Bundang Line) in a residential district between Seongdong-gu Citizens' Sports Center and Seongsu Middle School. Note that the shop does not have its own parking lot. Because of its location in a busy city center, it is best to utilize buses, subway, and other public transportation. The cafe itself is situated on the second and third floors of a building, so it has a pleasant view. As one enters the building, one can find five blue ribbons adorning the doorway. Window seats here have a view of Seoul Forest. Signature menus include hand drip and mugwort lattes, and the menu is rounded out by beverages like espresso, cafe Americano, latte, and cappuccino. Because of its proximity to Seoul Forest, one can go for a leisurely walk there. Other nearby sites include Seongsu-dong Cafe Street, Seongsu Handmade Shoes Park, and Ttukseom Recreation Area.
