Daeo Bookstore is the oldest bookstore in Seoul that has been maintained in one place since it opened in 1951. Located near City Hall Station, Korea Samgyetang specializes in samgyetang. Samgyetang is a traditional healthy dish made by simmering cleaned young chicken in a broth with ginseng, jujube, and glutinous rice. The light and tender texture of the stewed chicken and the ginseng-flavored glutinous rice porridge is excellent. Ogolgye tang (silkie chicken soup) and jeonbok samgye tang (abalone and ginseng chicken soup) are also favorites among patrons. This restaurant was selected for the Michelin Guide Seoul in 2023.

Heukdonga Myeongdong (흑돈가 명동)

Situated in Myeongdong, Heukdonga focuses on Jeju-style grilled black pork. Once black pork cut into thick chunks are grilled over charcoal, it is ready to be served with salted anchovies or pickled perilla leaves. The meat is grilled on a wire mesh over charcoal, which renders the fat and gives it a nice charcoal flavor. After finishing the meat, patrons have the option to soybean paste jjigae with rice or cold buckwheat noodles, which are also a must-try in Korean barbecue restaurants.

Jokbal (Braised pigs’ feet) is prepared by braising pigs' feet in spiced stock, a process that removes excess fat, enhances the flavor, and gives the meat a chewier texture. Each order of Jokbal (Braised pigs' feet) is accompanied by Kongnamulkimchiguk (Bean sprout and kimchi soup), to which Kalguksumyeon (Noodles) are added. Started in Jeonju in 2012, Hanboknam strived to promote the beauty of hanbok, earning recognition by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2015. Following this, Hanboknam opened a hanbok exhibition and rental shop in the Bukchon area of Seoul in 2016. The shop provides customers with numerous styles of hanbok, from royalty to beggars. The rental shop also offers various accessories to pair with the different hanbok for a complete look.

Dongchonjae is a hanok guesthouse in Seochon, Jongno, Seoul. The the Anchae(women's quarters) consists of four sleeping rooms and a cheongmaru lounge space, plus kitchen and toilet. Guests can watch movies in the yard or main hall, and can use the refrigerator and washing machine. A guided night tour of Seoul City Wall is offered, as is a tea ceremony, and rice-cake making experience.
