Along with the other great mountains near Seoul, Suraksan Mountain has its own unique beauty throughout the year. Its cluster of small peaks is reminiscent of Seoraksan or Wolchulsan Mountains and among its valleys and peaks, a number of treasures unfold. These include Geunnyu, Eunnyu, and Ongnyu Waterfalls, Heungguksa, Naewonsa and Seongnimsa Temples, and Gwesanjeong Pavilion.
One of the most popular hiking courses on Suraksan Mountain is the one that starts from Danggogae Station (Seoul Subway Line 4) and passes Hangnimsa Temple and Yongguram Hermitage. In the springtime, the ridge between Suraksan Mountain and Buramsan Mountain is covered with gorgeous royal azalea blossoms.

Hwang Hui (1363-1452) is a prime minister who played a significant role in the early Joseon dynasty. Constructed in three stages, the tomb's burial mound is notably large. Hwang Hui was an official instrumental in establishing the foundations of Joseon. He served under King Taejong, the 3rd king of Joseon, and King Sejong, the 4th king, making notable contributions in diplomacy, law, science, and national defense. His descendants have continued to honor his legacy by maintaining the tomb.

Bangujeong is a pavilion situated in the lower reaches of the Imjingang River. It's where Hwang Hui (1363-1452), a civil servant from the late Goryeo and early Joseon dynasties, spent his later years after resigning from his position as Yeonguijeong, the highest-ranking official in the Joseon dynasty. This historic site dedicated to Hwang Hui includes a shrine erected in his memory and the Gyeongmojae Shrine, which houses details about his accomplishments.

Bukhansan Mountain is a mountain representing Seoul, which 5 million people visit every year. It is not easy to hike up to the top, but the dulle trail allows one to enjoy the beauty of the mountain without too much effort. Bukhansan Dulle Trail is a low-lying, horizontal walking trail created by connecting and refining existing side paths, allowing for a leisurely walk along the foot of the mountain. The Pine Forest Trail, one section of the trail consisting of 21 themes, is 2.9 kilometers long from the entrance to Uiryeong Trail to the top of Solbat Neighborhood Park. It is filled with majestic pine trees, and the road is wide and gentle, making it a perfect place to enjoy a walk. Most of the section is shaded by trees, so visitors can feel cool while walking up even on hot summer days.

The Seoul Hiking Tourism Center is located 5 minutes on foot from Exit 2 of Bukhansan Ui Station and provides various services to hikers. It provides hiking course guidance and information (available in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese) about the mountains of Seoul, including Bukhansan, Bugaksan, and Inwangsan Mountains, as well as promotional materials such as Seoul hiking tourism guidebooks and maps. Also, it operates hiking tour programs with various themes every week for foreigners and offers hiking gear rental services such as hiking boots, hiking attire, trekking poles, gloves, and crampons for foreigners. (Koreans accompanied by foreigners can also rent the gear.) In addition, there is a storage locker and lounge for visitors, so they can pack up and rest before hiking.
