Designed to mimic the traditional kilns of the Baekje period, the Baekje Cultural Museum is a unique space that blends historical elegance with immersive exhibits. It showcases five key masterpieces: the historic Baekje kiln site that’s over 1,500 years old, exquisite blue tiles, an evocative painting of Choi Ik-hyeon's exile, an intricate rubbing of the Confucius statue, and a resplendent golden turtle. Additionally, the museum offers a variety of interactive centers like a gold mine exploration area, an agricultural culture center, an exhibition hall that transports viewers back to the 1960s. There are also Han Sang-don Memorial Hall, Yoo Sang-ok Donation Room, and Jeongseung Park. Jangseung Park on Chilgapsan Mountain is the largest preservation area for "jangseungs," the ancient wooden or stone totem poles that were usually placed at the village entrance to ward off evil spirits. It was established in May 1999 to counter the dwindling awareness of the artifacts, and houses some of Korea's tallest jangseungs (11.5 m) as well as replicas of indigenous totem poles from across the world. Today, it continues to host the Annual Chilgapsan Mountain Jangseung Festival, and serves as an important site of Korean history learning.

Buyeo Garimseong Fortress (부여 가림성)

Garimseong Fortress is a stone fortress built on the lower reaches of the Geumgang River to protect Sabiseong Fortress, the capital of the Baekje dynasty. The fortress' parking lot is only 200 meters away from the southern entrance, allowing visitors to easily access and enjoy the view from this historical fortress. By ascending the stairway by the rocky cliff, a large tree comes into view. Known to be over 400 years old, this tree is called the "Love tree of Seongheungsan Mountain" and has even made an appearance in the drama "Seodongyo (200)." The fortress is also popular as a sunrise spot, serving as Buyeo-gun’s New Year's Eve festival venue.

Starpark, also known as Chilgapsan Astronomical Observatory, is nestled within Chilgapsan Provincial Park in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. This observatory is a science museum with a focus on astronomy and space, catering to both the general public and students. Conveniently, it's just a five-minute walk from the parking area. The facility is housed in a three-story structure. On the first floor, visitors can enjoy a three-dimensional dome theater and an audiovisual room. The second floor houses a publicity center and an observation deck. The observatory’s main observation room is on the third floor and features Korea’s largest refracting telescope (APO 304 mm), which is used primarily for viewing sunspots and prominences during the day. Additionally, there’s an auxiliary observation room equipped with Korea's first 180-degree hemispherical three-stage sliding system. This room is designed for nighttime stargazing and is fitted with a 400-milimeter reflecting telescope for observing planets, star clusters, and nebulae. Children are particularly fond of the 12-meter geo-massive astronomical projection room, where they can experience 5D images. For those wishing to extend their visit, accommodations are available at Namcheon-ri Sanchon Ecological Village or nearby Alps Village. Chilgapsan Recreational Forest opened in 1990 within a lush natural forest. The park offers many amenities to enjoy a relaxing time in nature. Overnight guests can stay in a cabin, complete with heating, a kitchen, and shower, or camp in the campground. The forest is also capable of hosting retreats, with training buildings and a lecture hall. Day visitors can enjoy the many walking trails and hiking paths, as well as a water playground and observation decks. Upon finishing his thousand-day prayers in Gyeryongsan Mountain in June 1980, Monk Deoksan came down to the site of an old temple in Noseong-myeon, Hwagok-ri and built Jijangjeongsa Temple. The upper part of the current Daeungjeon Hall was once the main hall of Jijangam Hermitage and was originally about 33 square meters. Daeungjeon Hall was later expanded to its current size. In 1995, Yeongsanjeon (Cheonbuljeon) Hall was built and in 1997, Seonjae Preschool was opened. The temple is open for praying and meditation and also has a charnel house. The temple and its followers are loyally devoted to the practice of Buddhism in its purest form.

Buyeo Muryangsa Temple (무량사(부여))

Muryangsa Temple, located at the foot of Mansusan Mountain in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, is said to have been built during the reign of Silla King Munmu by national preceptor Beomil. Geungnakjeon Hall can be seen after passing through Sacheonwangmun Gate, recognizably the best location for taking in the beauty of Muryangsa Temple. The temple grounds hold the Two-story Geungnakjeon Hall, Five-story Stone Pagoda, and Stone Lantern, all in a row.

The temple is also famous for being the place where Kim Siseup, one of the Saengyuksin (Six Loyal Subjects of the Joseon dynasty), spent his last few days before death. Visitors can see his portrait inside the temple. Although the temple site is included in Buyeo-gun’s administrative district, it is located closer to downtown Boryeong.

Seodongyo Theme Park is an open film set studio in a huge 33,000 square meter plot of land. The theme park offers various sets from Goryeo to Joseon dynasty as well as royal residences of Baekje dynasty, the commoners’ village, the village of the nobles and more. The set was the backdrop of various dramas including “Ballad of Seodong (2005), “The Great Sheer (2012)” and more. Visitors can also engage in various experience programs.
