This historic site related to Seong Sam-mun is believed to be the birthplace of Seong Sam-mun, and was founded by his maternal ancester, Park Dam. A shrine was built here in 1685 to honor Seong Sam-mun and the five others ministers who were executed with him for their plot to restore King Danjong to the throne after he was exhiled by his uncle. The site was destroyed in 1864 when Confucian facilities were removed by the government, but was later rebuilt in 1945.

Pyeongtaekho is a lake that flows to the western sea. Pyeongtaekho Art Park is located along side it. Sculptures are spread throughout the park, creating a pleasant atmosphere for visitors to stroll and enjoy the art. The Ji Young-hee Gugak Center and Haegum Bench have been built to commemorate Ji Young-hee's (1909-1980) achievements as a national intangible cultural heritage who pioneered the popularization and globalization of Korean traditional music. "Dongheon" refers to the administrative building or headquarters for the top city official of the Joseon dynasty. This tile-roofed house measures six kan (traditional Korean measuring unit), or approximately 14.4 meters, on the front, two kan (4.8 meters) on the side and is 3.3 meters in x_height. Records carved on its gate show that the wooden house was constructed in 1407. The house, which is characteristic of late Joseon dynasty architecture, was once used as Daeheung-myeon office, but was dismantled and restored to its original appearance in 1979.

Taehaksan Mountain is located south of the borders of Sucheol-ri, Asan; Samtae-ri, and Maedang-ri in Cheonan. The mountain is known for the Rock-carved Standing Buddha (Treasure No. 407), which displays typical patterns of Buddha statues from the Goryeo era. The mountain gets its name from its shape that resemble a dancing crane. Native flowers and trees are scattered throughout the mountain, and the park's dense pine forest makes this park a great family vacation destination.

Opened in 2007, the Bongsusan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest offers a variety of forest recreation facilities. The area is home to various wild birds. The forest also offers various hiking trails, which take between one and three hours to complete. The slopes are relatively gentle. Various rest and forest bathing sites are setup throughout the forest. The Yedang Reservoir is nearby, which is the nation’s top fishing ground.
