Nokcheongja Museum (녹청자박물관)

Since opening in 2002, the Nokcheongja Museum has been preserving and exhibiting academic materials about the Green Celadon Kiln Site, a Historic Site designated in 1970. It is the only museum dedicated to celadons in Incheon. The museum is divided into the History Exhibition Hall where visitors can observe the celadon making process and the Special Exhibition Hall that displays modern-day celadons. In addition to the two indoor exhibition halls, the museum also has an outdoor exhibition site with a collection of approximately 200 donated potteries, ranging from traditional to recently trending designs.

Gyeyangsan Mountain Trail (계양산둘레길)

The Gyeyangsan Mountain Trail, spanning 7.29 kilometers, is set around Gyeyangsan Mountain, which stands at 395 meters above sea level in Incheon. The journey begins at the Gyeyangsan Outdoor Theater and winds through several notable points including Imhak Ogeori, Mudanggol Mineral Spring, Pigogae Pass, Jingmaeigogae Pass, the Rose Garden, and the Gyeyang Cultural Center, before circling back to the starting point. The trek, which takes approximately two hours to complete, is facilitated by a decked path that extends throughout the route, making it accessible and enjoyable for hikers.

Bucheon Botanical Garden (부천식물원)

Bucheon Botanical Garden houses many rare plants, spread across two above-ground floors and two underground floors in a 27,124 ㎡ building. The building was designed in the shape of a peach flower, the symbol of Bucheon, and has one central garden and five themed gardens: general plant garden, aquatic plant garden, tropical plant garden, succulent plant garden, and indigenous plant garden.

In the central garden, 9,975 trees representing some 310 species are planted. With a forest nearby, the botanical garden offers a great nature learning experience for visitors. Together with the Natural Ecology Museum and Children Zoo nearby, it is also a great cultural and recreational destination.

Bangameori Beach (방아머리해수욕장)

Bangameori Beach is located at the northern tip of Daebudo Island. The beach is small in size but offers a relaxing atmosphere suited for vacation. So All Too Bakery is a large bakery and cafe located by the entrance to Gwangmyeong Cave. The venue offers many indoor and outdoor seatings along with a conveniently spacious parking lot. Travelers are greeted with the cafe's signature salt bread, which comes in various flavors with healthy toppings, including honeycomb, ink, button mushrooms, hot sausages, bacon, basil, and green onion. In addition, bagels, croissants, scones, sandwiches, and madeleines are also available.

Yeongjong Grand Bridge (영종대교)

Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge connects the mainland of Incheon with Yeongjongdo Island that is home to the Incheon International Airport. Until the construction of this bridge, the only way to get to and from Yeongjongdo Island had been by boat. The 4.4 kilometer-long Yeongjong Bridge is the world’s first 3-dimensional self-anchored suspension bridge. The bridge carries both highways and rail lines on its decks, and 10,000-ton ships can pass under the bridge. The bridge was designed to withstand strong winds and earthquake.

It is the first bridge in Korea to have been completed through private capital inducement project. In addition to its function as a bridge, it is also an architectural beauty as the shape of the cable and the girder was designed to symbolize the eaves of the traditional Korean tile-roofed house. In 2002, Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge won the Tanaka Award by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers for the first time in Korea.

Gyeongin Ara Waterway (경인 아라뱃길)

Ara Waterway flows 18 kilometers from the Hangang River to the West Sea. Opened in 2012, the waterway serves to quickly remove excess water from the surrounding areas to prevent flooding. The waterway also serves as a key route for transporting cargo via ship, as well as a natural green space.

The idea of Ara Waterway started nearly 800 years ago during the Joseon dynasty by King Gojong. Unfortunately, his plan could not be completed at that time due to technical obstacles and the difficult state of the country. After countless efforts and preparation, the construction of the waterway began in 2009 and opened in 2012.

Gwangmyeong Cave (광명 동굴)

Gwangmyeong Cave was developed in 1912 during the Japanese colonial period to exploit resources, including gold mines, and continued to be developed for industrial purposes after liberation. After the mine was closed in 1972, it was used as a salted seafood warehouse for about 40 years. Gwangmyeong City purchased the site, reorganized it, and made it available to the public. It is currently recognized as a modern industrial heritage site with high historical value, and is well known as a cave theme park in the metropolitan area. Along with the cave, colorful lights and sculptures create a spectacular sight. Aside from tasting and purchasing Korean wine at the Gwangmyeong Wine Cave, visitors can also see the largest media art piece in Korea at the Lascaux Exhibition Hall, enjoying a more diverse travel experience.

Ansan Arts Center (안산문화예술의전당)
